Great experience with Robert Engel helping remove my old kitchen faucet. Should have called AB May in the beginning instead of trying to get the old one off myself. I installed the new faucet by myself. Easy peasy !

Update July 2025– The damage claims person I had been working with for a year no longer works with AB May and his replacement Shawn reached out to me. He was wonderful and did everything in his power to rectify the situation. I have since been fairly compensated for the damage and would be more likely to recommend AB May now that Shawn is there. Updating rating to 3 stars. I have never had a worse experience than I had with AB May plumbing services. I had a home warranty through them, so when I had leaks I decided to go through them to replace all of our indoor plumbing from cast iron to PVC. The installers were woefully unprepared for the job. Not only was the work shoddy, but those sent to repair would claim that it couldn’t be fixed just to change their tune once my dad who is a contractor was around to argue. Much of it was rushed due to either inexperience or trying to save time on our job, and even the plumber AB May sent to remedy some parts admitted it’s not how he would want it in his own home. I had to take off many days of work to keep up with the multiple follow up repairs the work required. On top of it all, we had to stay elsewhere one night because the whole house water was shut off and we came home the next morning to a ruined kitchen floor because they left a pipe uncapped. Now it’s been a whole year later and we still haven’t been compensated for the damage.

Avoid having Derrick take care of any of your plumbing needs. He will take advantage of you if you aren't sure of what the problem is. Our dishwasher drain tube, which runs from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal, had a crack at the top of it that was leaking water. So we set up an appointment to have a plumber come and take a look at it and hopefully replace the entire tube. I had to work, so my girlfriend waited for the plumber to show up. Derrick was the plumber that showed up. He took a look at it and decided that the best route to take was to cut the end off of the drain tube and install a connector piece that costs $5.23 from Home Depot to re-attach it to the garbage disposal. But for some reason, he couldn't get the drain tube on the connector, so he cut and put a piece of copper pipe inside the connector?? Then, he tightened down all of the hose clamps as tight as he could. Needless to say, there was still a leak after he left... For that "work," he charged my girlfriend $474!? $474 for 15 minutes of work and a part that costs less than $6, and it still leaked... Even if he had fixed the problem, that is a RIDICULOUS amount of money to charge for that amount of "work" and parts. I am very unhappy with the work that Derrick did, and even more unhappy with the feeling of someone taking advantage of my girlfriend. (The images below are in order from the time of the crack, to after Derrick worked on it, to when i got home from work and had to fix it myself. The video was taken right after Derrick had left, and the final image shows the copper pipe that i removed from inside the connector piece and the extra hose clamp that was not needed.)

Great service backed by guarantee! My previous review was about the service on our outdoor electrical meter upgrade and this is a follow up. Our upgrade was rejected by the city for it's permit due to some minor fixes which ultimately had to be rectified and AB May came through with their promise to make things right. THEY. ARE. AWESOME! A lot of other companies might give you service but then leave you high and dry when all is said and done. AB May stood up to their guarantee to us that everything would be done proper. Drake Butler was once again on the scene and spent pretty much all day getting us up to code. He is incredibly nice and down to earth and we will ask for him by name every time we need more work done. Thank you again Drake and AB May

We just moved to missouri & independence. Not much has gone right in the 2 weeks we have been here . So the main Drain backing up was one more bad thing . Until we where able to contact AB pluming . They Disbatched Vincent & finally somthing went right . Vincent was Great , once he told us he was on his way he beat his estimated arrival time ! Then he was very polite & knew his job well . He identified the equipment he needed to use with his initial inspection. Like true master plumber , he went to work ! Cleared drain out in no time . If All AB's service team is duplicate of Vincent . AB is the place for great plumbing services ! The service costed $79 on Saturday evening !! No service fee , no fuel tax !! No we have to do this to sell you this that might fix that !! Quality , friendly , prompt , & affordable service !! Thank you A B for employing Quality Technicians (Vincent)!

Antonio did a great job on my project and saw it from start to finish. He explained the issue he was seeing in a way I could understand and gave details on how it could be fixed. My problem ended up being bigger than expected, so his supervisors Rusty and Leroy got involved. The team did great work, communicated well, and completed the job promptly and efficiently. And the best part - it didn’t cost me "an arm and a leg" for all the updates that were needed. Thank you so much for helping get my furnace working properly!

Ed changed the turntable motor for my microwave.Ed was great at explaining everything that needed to be done. Very fast and productive. Kept everything nice and clean. Cleaned up his mess before he left our house.
