Piece of Cake Moving and Storage

My son just used Piece of Cake Movers in Miami *Truck #8 Crew ~ Stefan, Marco and Andrija* and it was a piece of cake! They arrived on time in a clean and well maintained moving truck dressed in company shirts, super polite, had a tool box just in case and all the appropriate boxes, tape, blankets and treated all my son’s furniture with great care. Not a thing was damaged or broken and he had some very heavy items that made it challenging but not for this team. I highly recommend POC for any large or small move and if you are in Miami ask for Truck #8.

I recently used Piece of Cake Moving to move from Michigan to Illinois and I cannot recommend them enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was incredibly smooth, professional, and stress-free. Their team handled everything with so much efficiency and care!! They treated all of my belongings with respect, wrapped everything properly, and handled my fragile items so carefully. Communication before, during, and after the move was amazing as well, it definitely gave me peace of mind. The team was kind, hardworking, organized, and extremely detail-oriented. They made my move feel effortless, and I’m so grateful I chose them. If you need movers you can trust- especially for big moves across state lines, Piece of Cake is the company to go with. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for movers!!!

For their customer service, which addressed the issues I outlined below via a partial refund that was above the amount expected, I can add one star above the minimum rating. I cannot rate the entire moving experience 3 stars or higher. For the actual moving experience, the only word I have is "Amateurs." Everything they touched turned up beat up, dirty, or both. Or missing. They are probably only suitable for small moves, 1 bed max, within the NYC metro. They were ill equipped for a 2 bed/2 bath move within NJ with half of the packing done and the other half paid for. Ashamed to admit it was also expensive at $3K total with tip, plus moving insurance. They showed up on time and patiently waited for us to arrive at each leg, +1 hour of wait time total. They took a precise inventory. Phone support was responsive. They lost half of my formalwear by forgetting to load-in one of their rental wardrobe boxes. Make sure to check every spot they worked in before leaving your load in point. They didn't wear booties, so they tracked mud and dirt over 4 rugs. They didn't wrap the rugs with protection during transit. They didn't secure most items in transit. Rugs arrived filthy and filled with leaves and dead bugs. One rug is a total loss. Furniture arrived with scuffs, dings, or a layer of filth on top. They didn't wear moving gloves, so there are fingerprints over everything. I asked them to please carefully pack our two favorite sconces, but they arrived with the metal rubbed raw and a switch end cap missing. Mannequin end piece was broken, mannequin can't be used until we figure out where the heck to get spare mannequin parts. Dents, dings, scrapes and scratches all over my freshly painted walls and newly refinished floor in my condo.

I chose to use Piece of Cake this year and they exceeded all of my expectations. I used them last year and the moving process was so easy and seamless so I decided to use them for a second time when moving to Manhattan. They handled all my items carefully, making sure nothing got damaged during transit. They also helped set up all my furniture exactly where I wanted it so I barely had to lift a finger with all of their help. My favorite part is that they allow you to get these bright pink bins to pack all your items so you don’t even need to buy any boxes from somewhere else! I’m so satisfied with the entire process of this moving company and will continue to use them for my future moves as well as recommend them to anyone who’s looking to move soon. Their prices are so reasonable and you cannot go wrong with using a trustworthy company like Piece Of Cake!

This is my second time using Piece of Cake but this time out of NYC! The Piece of Cake team made sure my move out of state was seamless. I could not have asked it to go any better than it did. I was so stressed about packing but the team eased all my concerns and let me sit back and relax. They were so quick, efficient, and most importantly careful with all my valuables. Piece of Cake Moving was amazing for our transition into a new apartment! The LA team made our move as easy as possible. As a nonprofit residential program for adults with and without disabilities, we are so grateful for their dedication and the service provided. They were very careful with our belongings, made sure everything was wrapped and could be transported safely. They had all of our belongings (boxes and furniture) in the truck in less than an hour.
