Complete fraud. That is how I can sum up my experience with the owner of Atlantic Battery, Derek. I decided to "support a local business" and I got completely burned by doing so. I went in looking for a replacement for my forklift battery that I've been using for my security setup for 5 years. Derek provided me with a quote and supporting literature for "new" batteries that according to the literature would have been more than sufficient for my needs. However, after my non-refundable purchase which was noted after I had made payment) delivered used batteries that failed within 72 hours of setting up. Upon a much more detailed and rigorous inspection, my team discovered that these batteries were in fact used and we're likely removed from an installation after failure. Derek refused to refund what we paid and tried to pivot to some other product after he had provided used batteries that malfunctioned from the start. Derek said: "We provided a solution within 48 hours . As per warranty we reserve the right to provide a replacement." There was no solution provided and Derek lied from the beginning; as he suggested and sent materials for new batteries; yet, he delivered used batteries that failed immediately. I would not recommend this company or Derek to anyone who is looking for a solution to any problem whatsoever.

I've been to their Watertown location off of Main St. twice. The first time because my car battery died in the next door parking lot. The second time because the deep cycle battery backups for my sump pump had gone past their life and would no longer hold a charge. Each time, Franklin diagnosed exactly what replacement battery I needed and brought it out and disposed of the old batteries without question. While the storefront is a mess and their computers are out of the eighties, the knowledge, service, and pricing are great and I'm glad they are around.

Got a poorly matched battery on a Friday afternoon for building emergency backup power and was told they would send me a recipe later. (had to change building terminals to match) After no less than 5 times asking for it still have not provided me with anything at all. I'm still chasing them so I can get a reimbursement from my building over 2 months later. Friggin $250 battery.

I have been a customer for 25 years. Great service and value!! Not easy getting a custom battery for a 1951 Buick. Always helpful!!

I needed a battery for an emergency wall lights and this is the place to go. They do not over charge and you are usually in and out within minutes. When you walk in, there is just a counter and you need to ring the bell to get someone to come help but they have everything in stock and their "store brand" is not bad.

Secret awesome hand-made battery company! I bought their top of the line for a great price. These batteries are hand-made, not refurbished and the quality is superior and very long lasting!!! Excellent warrenty
