Toole's Ace Hardware of South Orange

Every time I am at this Ace location, they are friendly and helpful. The last two days I needed stainless steel bolts and nuts. They had everything I needed and in the correct size ! Other Ace stores did not have it, and none of the auto parts stores did either.

Today I received unbelievably excellent service beginning with a gentleman named Fernando. Fernando worked on my front door handset for 45 minutes trying to remove the key I had made here an hour earlier. The key got stuck and ultimately broke off in the lock. Before he went to the back to work on it some more he asked if I had the time to wait for him. I told him 'of course' and I was amazed he hadn't already given up and told me sorry, it can't be done like most people would have. While I was waiting at the key counter Traci called out to me from the front terminal and asked if she could do anything for me. I said yes and she came right over and made two more keys for me and she was so kind and genuine. Then Lisa came over and asked me if I would like to sit down on the paint display ledge which I was grateful for. She must have noticed my cane and limp when I walked in. When manager Frank came back from lunch I asked to speak with him and told him Fernando, Traci and Lisa were phenomenal and it's the way I am always treated at Ace that keeps me coming here before going to the other two competitors. In the end Fernando could not remove the broken key and Frank authorized him to put in a new mechanism and rekeying it to my original key AT NO CHARGE. I came in the store frustrated and crying and left amazed and happy. Fernando especially deserves recognition for all the time he spent on helping me. He and Traci and Lisa should be in charge of training workers how to care about the people who patronize ACE. Just amazing service and care!

Love this Store it has all of my company's needs in one spot. Frank and his team are always their to help when I have questions. Elvis there outside salesman also is very knowledgeable about the inventory they have in the store. I recommend Ace for your hardware needs in the future.

Dumbest duplicate key service… they only do "their keys" so if you buy a set of keys in Amazon for 5 bucks and bring your original key to make a copy that’s a big NO.. they only do their "own keys"… if you ask if they have the same key you bought that’s also a NO… honestly this are the type of business I don’t feel sorry for when they close down.

There going to get 5 stars because every thing perfect here clean store friendly service
