Daddy's Boat & RV

I just had a repower done by this shop and I can’t recommend them enough. They swapped out my old OMC inboard/outboard for a new 150hp mercury 4 stroke outboard. Lots of moving parts due to having to manage the marina, state parks, the tow company and the repower shop but the whole team worked great and it was such an easy process. Since I bought my boat last year, I’ve been taking it for service to daddy’s boat. Recently I tried a new shop in Chico since it’s closer to me and NEVER again. Long story short the owner of the new shop (which shall remain nameless but it starts with an "S") tried to rip me off by telling me I needed a new kicker motor because the one I had would tear my transom up. Keep in mind, I have a very nice nearly new kicker already on the transom. It would’ve cost $4,000 not counting labor and he really pressured me. He also bluntly said he wouldn’t install my new fish finder and other things where I wanted it and many other things he said. I was so rattled when I left his shop due to his rude and condescending attitude. He also told me that mercury outboard motors are not near as good as Yamaha (he happens to be a Yamaha dealer). When I questioned him on these things he literally told me he wouldn’t work on my boat simply because I questioned him. I took the boat to daddy’s and asked their opinion and they told me the motor wouldn’t tear up my transom but if it made me feel better they could install more reinforcement behind the motor which they did. I decided to keep taking my boat to daddys. The owner of the shop in Chico charges way more for labor than Daddys shop. I always get great personalized service and advice from them and such nice people so it’s worth the drive up the hill for more peace of mind. So don’t bother with the new shop in Chico take the drive to paradise and see them.

They are super friendly and incredibly helpful. I first brought my boat in with some motor issues. They diagnosed and repaired within just a few days. When I brought it back in with a different issue they jumped right on it and got it back up and running within a few minutes. Strongly recommend! Fair and transparent. Exactly what you want when your having boat problems. Thank you!

True customer service! They really helped me out today, and also had a great stock of parts and fluids to perform any future maintenance. They easily fixed my problem and did a great diagnosis. Price was good, service was the same, i will be back.

My son and I really liked the guy they sent out with the Georgia accent. He did an honest job and was personable. I will call them if I have any problems here at J and M RV park. Noticed 2 others nebrs using their services. Keep it local.

Great friendly service. Took my boat in earlier this week. They had the chance to get it into their shop and found the problem. Got it fixed by the next day and we're back on the water. Very fair price.
