I have my account set to autopay, last night I got home to find the power was out and had been out for most of the day. Went online and paid the bill immediately even though the auto pay was already set and no issue with the card. EPB will leave you ONE message that says nothing about your power getting shut off and it sounds like a vague message you would normally ignore. WHY NO EMAIL? WHY NO TEXT? WHY JUST ONE VAGUE AUTOMATED PHONE CALL? Anyways I call this morning at 930AM cause I am STILL without power even though I paid the bill last night... Lady tells me I put an end date on my autopay (I certainly did not, as it is not even an option on their website to do so) and thats why my payment didn't go through. Long story short for a company so advanced in technology it is a crime to do this to your customer. Now I have a $350 worth of food to throw away in my fridge. My girlfriend can't work this morning since our internet is down. They have cost us quite a bit of money for their mistake. Would switch if I could, but they have a monopoly on the power I am able to get soo....

Made the mistake of using T-Mobile internet because of price. I got what I paid for, weak service and an IP address showing I lived in Atlanta. Bad experience! I called EPB and the TEAM came to my rescue! I love my EPB, internet the way it should be!!

UPDATE: 7/30/25 INCIDENT happened last night 07/29/25. Tree fell on power line and lost power at 7:45pm Fire department showed up and stayed for 2 hours after using caution tape to tape of the area. Crews didn’t arrive until 3 hours after the incident was reported at 7:45 showing up on scene at 10:30pm Nothing was done from the crew until 11:30 pm Didn’t get power back on until 3:30 am. This is absolute ridiculous at how long it takes EPB crews to get on scene when only 3-4 including the incident spoken about above are showing on the app and being handled. Why is it 3 plus hours to even show up on scene and then longer for anyone to even do anything. EPB DO BETTER Absolutely disgusted with how bad the customer service is. Every time we have had an outage it takes anywhere from 6 hours or longer to get something fixed even when there are minimal incidents shown on the EPB app. Tonight there were 3 incidents. And somehow it’s taking them hours to even get on site. The fire department even left the scene due to how long it takes EPB to actually get out and fix things

We had a wire that needed replacing for our WiFi to work, We had Logan Butler come down to deal with it and he was great. He was not only super nice but got the job done quickly and efficiently, it was a really good experience. we will for sure be asking for him again for any future issues.

For the most part we love epb! we have had them for several years! we call they will come out! really nice people talk to u like u are a human being actually explaining what they are doing in words u understand! But when u call and having a technical issue give me a break! its like talking to a brick wall ! they have no clue what’s going on or they don’t answer ur questions! they are supposed to be trained in this field! we get more respect out of the technicians that comes out to fix the problems more than the person we are talking to on the phone WTH!

Edit 2: Moved out of state and had to cancel my services. They charged me for 2 months after I turned the equipment in. Called back and they apologized and said they'd mail me a refund check, which they did. Now they have sent me a bill for the 2 months. I called back again and got a lady with a severe attitude problem that kept talking in circles and couldn't explain why they refunded me and then sent a bill. I'm not paying for services that YOU already agreed to refund me for. Edit: They called me the next day and gave me a credit for the late fee amount and were apologetic for the lack of communication regarding the credit as well as the underlying issue. They swapped payment systems and canceled my autopay in the process. Sent text messages that got auto filtered into my spam box that I never check because it's spam. Added late fees to my account instead of sending a letter saying that I needed to update my autopay. Spoke to customer service, and she promised to remove said late charges if I would pay the bill and renew my auto pay. I did and was still charged a late fee. I know it's 2024, but a text message is not suitable communication for a major account change like this.

EPB is the best power company we have ever had. The fastest internet, no power outages, and the easiest, most efficient online payment process I've ever used. Wonderful, helpful customer service department. Can't say enough about EPB!
