Sioux Falls Food Co+op

There’s a lot I truly enjoy about the Sioux Falls Food Co-op. From the moment you walk in, the warm and friendly smiles create a welcoming atmosphere. The lighting inside is bright but never harsh—just enough to make the space feel cozy and open without being overwhelming. This isn’t a store you should rush through. In fact, it rewards intention and curiosity. With a keen eye and a little patience, you’ll find all sorts of unexpected treasures tucked into different corners—like keychains, socks, bath bombs, quirky candles, and more. I recently discovered the Big Mood brand of candles here, and to my surprise, they were several dollars cheaper than buying directly from the company online. I even grabbed the last few on the shelf! Their ready-to-go food section is another highlight. Whether it’s a sandwich, salad, or a sweet treat, I can always count on the quality. What I love most is that their baked goods manage to be both healthy and genuinely delicious—a rare combination. At other places, "healthy" often means dry, bland, or overpriced. But not here. The balance of taste and value at the Co-op is impressive. I also appreciate how responsive they are to their customers. If there’s a product you’d like to see in stock, they’ll take your request seriously, try to order it, and even give you a call when it’s available for pickup. And let’s not forget the deals. Between regular in-store sales and manufacturer coupons scattered throughout the aisles, there are always ways to save—especially on repeat purchases. I’ve been shopping at the Food Co-op for about five years now, and although I haven’t officially become a member yet, I think it’s long overdue. If you find yourself appreciating quality, intention, and the joy of small discoveries like I do, I’d absolutely recommend becoming a member too.

Absolutely love this store. Like that there are some local options. And the best produce!!

I get almost all of my groceries at the Co-op. They have a great produce selection. They’re also the only store in town that sells my favorite cheese - Organic Valley American (white). And they reliably have bananas green enough for my needs. Their meat section leaves a little to be desired - I go to local producers or Pom for that. I love their round up program. They ask for recommendations from the owners each year. Twice they’ve selected a nonprofit that I’ve recommended. They are always happy to listen to customers and start carrying products we ask for. I could go on. Great customer service and great groceries!

The Sioux Falls Food Co+op is one of my favorite local spots. I love the fresh produce, local products, and basic kitchen staples! They have a great hot bar where it’s easy to grab a healthy lunch on the go or swing by and grab dinner on the way home! A great spot to support local and find quality food you feel good about.

Just the other day, a friend said, When I think of the Co-op, I think of your love of the date bars. If you've never had the pleasure you're missing out on one of the best old-fashioned treats. Baked to perfection, not overly sweet, and the ideal touch of crumbly bits to keep you humble.

I love this store. Great customer service. I love the Chicken with roasted Brussel sprouts. I also love the scones. The Pumpkin was my favorite. I highly recommend this store!!!
