Best Buy has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 5770 reviews on Google
Best Buy on La Brea delivers a solid shopping experience—it’s a very good store overall, with a wide selection of electronics, appliances, and gadgets, just as you’d expect. That said, it’s also very much a typical Best Buy: lots to browse, not always easy to find someone to help right away. The staff, when available, are knowledgeable and friendly. Once I got someone’s attention, they were genuinely helpful and knew their stuff. But getting there took some patience—they were clearly stretched thin, helping multiple customers at once. Product selection was broad, with a ton of models across brands, but frustratingly, they were out of stock on the most popular versions of what I came in to get. It’s the classic case of "everything except the one you want." Still, being able to see and handle the options in person was useful, and I was able to make a solid second-choice purchase. The location is convenient, and the store is clean and well-organized. Overall, a very good experience—just not quite seamless. Four stars.
You guys are so kind. It is really clean and big one. And 1hour free parking under the building. Also has Target in another floor. Good to go here!!
Initial Purchase and Installation Failure: First Visit (2-3 hours): Sales associate Dylan was initially helpful but became distracted due to being short-staffed, extending the initial purchase time significantly. Installation Promise: Dylan confirmed that the desired Frame TV could be installed in-wall above a gas fireplace based on photos shown. Geek Squad Failure: The Geek Squad installer stated they could not install the Frame in-wall unit. And could only do a wall tv mount that they charged $257 for. Poor Installation: The installation was sloopy, resulting in a crooked TV with dangling cables. They left the large power unit barely fitting and hanging off a shelf, completely defeating the purpose of the Frame TV's aesthetics (no visible box/cables). Failed Exchange and Broken Promises Second Visit (3 hours): Returned to Best Buy for a return/exchange. Dylan promised to honor the original Frame deal and waive all new installation charges due to the previous issues. The Lie: Instead of the promised deal and waived fees, Dylan charged full price for a new QLED TV (costing $500 more than the Frame) and all new installation services. Transaction Disaster: The exchange was handled via multiple, piecemeal transactions, making it impossible to track the actual charges and discounts. Refund and Follow-Up Chaos Realization and Request: Upon realizing Dylan's broken promises, a full return and refund for everything was requested. Terrible Follow-up: Dylan was unprofessional and difficult to contact, using personal excuses for delays, leading to the customer having to constantly chase him. Refund Nightmare: It took over two months, multiple calls to Best Buy that each would take 1-2 hours and seven separate transactions to process the refund, which still resulted in a discrepancy in the final amount. Conclusion The Best Buy experience was characterized by terrible customer service, misinformation, broken promises, and messy transactions. The total cost with Best Buy for a TV, mount and installation was $3,402.08. The total I was refunded in 7 different transactions was $3300.29 so $71.79 was missing and it took me hours on the phone with Best Buy to explain this to Best Buy bc the transactions were so messy they couldn't even track them. I will never ever buy anything at Best Buy.
I’ve bought stuff from Best Buy a few times, both online and in their stores. They’ve got loads of tech gear — laptops, TVs, phones, all that kind of stuff. Usually, there’s plenty in stock and prices are pretty reasonable. The good thing is they have a massive selection, and their website makes it easy to check out different products and compare them. Geek Squad is handy if you need help setting things up or fixing stuff. The people in the stores are mostly friendly and know what they’re talking about. Also, if you join their rewards programme, you can get points and some decent deals. On the downside, their return policy sucks a bit — if you’re not a member, you only get 15 days to send stuff back, which isn’t much. I once had an order that said "in stock" but it took almost a week to arrive, and nobody told me. I also bought an open-box laptop once that came without the charger and manual, and no one warned me about that before I bought it. And if you have to call customer service, be ready to wait — they can be pretty slow and not that helpful when you’re trying to sort problems out. So yeah, Best Buy is alright if you want a big choice and some tech support, but just watch out for the returns and customer service stuff.
My recent experience with Best Buy has been exceedingly frustrating and disappointing. Over the past two weeks, I’ve encountered numerous issues that reflect poorly on their customer service and operational processes. Initially, I attempted to make a purchase online, but encountered problems that forced me to call customer service. Unfortunately, that phone call stretched over an hour, during which the representative incorrectly recorded my email address. I only discovered this mistake after my $3,500 transaction was completed. While the representative assured me that she would correct my email in their system and send me a confirmation for my pickup, I never received that confirmation. When I went to pick up my items, I learned that the company card used for the purchase did not have my name, it had a member of the accounting team's name but was under the account with my name, a fact that the manager bluntly pointed out. I was told to reach out to customer service again to rectify the pickup information. However, customer service's response was disappointing; they stated that it was too late to make any changes and refused to resend the confirmation email to the correct address. Instead, they suggested that I "cancel" the pickup online, but I couldn’t access my account due to the ongoing email issue. This entire experience has left me feeling dissatisfied, unsupported, and unable to obtain a refund. It’s disheartening to see such a well-known company failing to deliver on basic customer service expectations.
I bought a Nintendo Switch 2 and a MacBook in this store today. They were helpful enough in the store but upon opening the switch the Mario Kart code seems to be missing. The box wasn't sealed so I suspect a rogue employee has stolen it or it was a customer return.. Make sure you check before leaving the store! I'm getting a flight tomorrow so will not have time to go back to the store and complain so leaving this review here as a warning to others.
