Awesome communication and customer service. We visited from out of town especially to purchase tung oil made near Tallahassee. They verified inventory after promptly and politely answering the phone. We even learned which aisle to go to! The store was clean and well stocked with interesting and unique merchandise. The expected hardware store staples were there too! Will return anytime we are in the area. Go visit - you will welcome the attention to detail and friendly atmosphere.
They were recommended to me by my gutter installers as the place to get a downspout extender. I went for that one thing. They had one in stock. Not the size I needed. I asked if they would order for me. Associate said they already have a shipment coming the next week - but he doesn’t know if these will be on it, or what size, or if they’ll get any more - because they’re seasonal. (Hey, Buddy, we’re about to enter summer rainy/hurricane season.) He was hardly the "helpful hardware man." I left, and found what I needed at Lowe’s. For a lot less. My personal experience gets a scant 2 stars. But I’ll give them 3 stars just because an old-fashion hardware store still has its charm. Still, it was out of my way. Unlikely I’ll go there again any time soon. UPDATE: great follow-up and follow-thru with manager, Eric, who personifies the "culture" of Ace. Eric gets 5star review.
I had looked everywhere for a certain product and couldn't find it anywhere in Tallahassee. These guys went above and beyond and ordered it for me! Fast, professional service. Highly recommend this location!

Plenty of pine needles and soil for your garden. Lots of good stuff. The folks are nice and carry stuff to your car. So convenient to my home. They employees wore masks and had shields at the cash register. The female cashier said welcome to every man who walked in but not to me a female. Hmm
Really convenient ace hardware when you stop for gas and need a part or piece for something, also has a great selection of older technology so you can keep things working which is very nice
