What a great local tax business with 5 Star reviews to match. Luther & his wife are very knowledgeable about Tax services & business practices to ensure your are not only receiving the best information about your tax return but filing correctly. I called in the am & was able to be scheduled the same day. He was very personable & detailed through the entire process & sent me home with information to have better record keeping for years to come. I actually learned a lot about the process today & not just the numbers on the paper. They are very reasonably priced for the service they provide and I will be filing with them for years to come. Thanks again for all your expertise.

I honestly don't understand how this business has a 5-star rating. My experience was nothing short of a nightmare. They completely botched my taxes the first time, missing critical details that should have been obvious for a tax professional. After I had to amend the return (which I should not have had to do in the first place), they still got it wrong—and worse, they didn’t notify me that I owed money! This level of service is completely unacceptable, and it’s extremely frustrating to have to pay out of pocket for someone else’s mistakes. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere for tax services. Do yourself a favor—save time, money, and a whole lot of stress.

Luther took great care of me. He was professional, easy to talk to, and never pushy. The process was smooth, educational, and handled with care every step of the way. I’ll be using them again next year. Easy decision. Highly recommend.

My Wife came to do her taxes here this year after they became more complicated with our marriage owning a home and renting to tenants. Although the IRS explicitly states that if you are legally married as of December 31st of that tax year then you are considered married when filing your taxes (either jointly or separately). When she would have owed taxes and was obviously unhappy about having to pay, they said she could file as single and that there was a grace period for when you are married. This raised a red flag when I was told this and we called to verify. We were then told that it's an "unwritten rule" and that it's unlikely that my wife would be audited. When pressed on the issue and asked if they would back my wife through the audit process they declined. He then said that their recommendation was to file as married. This legitimately makes me question the integrity of Efficiency Tax Associates. I believe they will bend the rules where they can to please their customers and do them a favor by ensuring they get the most from their return. I will say they were more than willing to make the necessary changes to ensure that the tax filing was done legally and without my wife committing tax fraud. I am surprised and disappointed with our experience as this location has great reviews.
