My parents house was so hot and we knew they used this company because my mom taught the owner’s kids, so I told them to call him. My dad, then revealed to us that he paid $6500 LAST August for a new system!!! 11 months later… they have not even mentioned putting in a new system for them. The owner told my dad.. "we’ll keep you cool"! We have to use fans in their house to keep cool. I feel that my parents have been taken advantage of since they are elderly (87 and 81 years old)! I am waiting for a phone call from them to see how they plan on resolving this! MY plan is to get their money back and use Hoffman Bros., who I KNOW are a reliable company!! It’s just awful that my mom had so much faith in this guy and he let her down!!

. I have used Dawson Dodd for 25 years. They offer a Warranty Service Plan and the preventive maintenance twice a year has increased the functioning and longevity of my AC/heating unit. . John does the scheduling and does an awesome job. He offers a prompt response, excellent service and always works around my schedule. Dawson Dodd offers Same-day service with their Service Plans. . Great communications - I always received a call or text 30 minutes prior to arrival. . The techs always arrive at the estimated scheduled time. . All of the techs are friendly, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, very skillful and provide great customer service. The last tech was Brad and he really went out of his way, above and beyond, noticing then tweaking several small preventive maintenance things. Brad took the time to explain everything he was doing and why. . The cost are very reasonable. . Excellent experience. Excellent company!!!!

I was assigned Dawson Dodd Heating & Cooling by my 2 -10 Home Warranty and I am so glad I was. They called me right away this AM to make an appointment. They actually came out the same day! Great tech, terrific customer service. It turned out to be something very simple. He cleaned unit, but my main issue was the filter was too "good" and was blocking air flow drastically which cause my furnace to turn on and off every couple of minutes and we had no air flow to my upstairs vents. The tech certainly could have told me I needed a new blower etc. and I would have complied with no questions asked and forked out a few hundred dollars. Instead I paid $75.00 and understand my system so much better than I did earlier. I will call no one else for service in the future. I highly recommend. Honesty is the best policy.

I initially hesitated to leave a bad review because the owner is a nice guy, but at some point you hit a limit at how many times things can go wrong, and ultimately there needs to be some accountability in hiring good technicians or at least retraining them if things continue to go poorly. I hired this company to replace my AC unit and exchange the coil since it was an older unit and needed new freon. They replaced the unit outside 2 summers ago (they took my smart thermostat and replaced it without even asking me). Last year I noticed water leaking from the attic where the unit was replaced, and immediately called Patrick. He sent a tech in and "fixed" the issue, but then my AC stopped cooling altogether… and 5? 6? visits and a whole bunch of frustrated calls later, I thought was done with it. I went to check the unit this spring just to make sure things looked alright before the weather got hotter, and there’s oil/freon all on the tray. I called the office again only to find out that the pipe is still clogged (initial issue I had last year), valves were missing, freon is low, the doors were all taped up because they weren’t closing… ah! I’m extremely frustrated at this point, and I don’t want anyone else going through this same experience. Please save yourself the hassle and go with someone else.

Being a small business owner myself I hate to leave a negative feedback without an opportunity to remedy however after multiple phone calls and emails I will share that when they installed our A/C they failed or forgot to register the warranty (we found this out through another HVAC company as we can't get them to do anything for us). Despite his email responses promising to investigate and rectify the situation (parts should be covered under warranty) we've received nothing but empty promises and excuses. Follow-up 1 month later. Same thing. A phone call, but then no confirmation of our registration of the product or what our remedy might be.

I see very mixed reviews of the service from Dawson Dodd, but we had standout service - very thorough and professional. He explained our 4 (!!) HVAC systems to me and took his time checking every component. We were transferred a service plan when we purchased our home and based on our first service appointment, we will look forward to continued great service.
