We met with a number of solar contractors regarding the installation of a whole house backup battery setup to complement our existing solar panel system. Many of the contractors we met were interested in selling us products that fit their business model and not what we wanted to have at our home. I hired SolarQuest to upgrade an old existing Enphase system and was very pleased with my experience. SolarQuest was the nearest Enphase-approved installer to me and I first just asked questions about my then-current usage. Joe explained my SDG&E bill to me and described what I could look forward to if I upgraded my system. Several months later, when I was interested in upgrading, Joe met with me in person multiple times and was responsive to calls, emails, and texts, to answer my questions about upgrading, particularly the financial and technical aspects. I had a unique situation where the solar system installation has been started by someone else and half way through the job the person just ghosted me. SOLARQUEST came through on everything they promised. Needed a roof before solar could be completed. The roofing company they suggested was efficient and added low profile vents at a great price. Joe (SolarQuest) owner was here every step of the way. We were up and running within 10 days of the roof completion. Panels were up and running within hours. Joe’s team was able to retrofit our old system to an updated monitoring system as well as added additional panels. We are very happy with our system’s update and can see we are producing more electricity to meet our needs.

We plan to get it installed and see how our bills do over the next six months, this is with NEM 3.0 Once we signed, we had the panels installed within a week, then it took about another week or two for inspection and permit, now we’re up and running!
