Customer Reviews
Polynesian Pool & Spa has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 88 reviews on Google
Ed was fantastic and so smart of his products. He was not pushy or anything, he was like shopping with a friend. He gave his honest opinions and helped me get into the perfect spa. Ed was also very patient as I had my young kids to keep entertained and he kept assuring me that they were fine! I said I don’t want them to get a unit dirty or anything and he said there’s nothing here they can hurt or we can’t clean. That meant a lot to my wife and I.
We started this project April 2024. We were given a timeline of swimming by the 4th of July. They started digging the hole the 2nd if July. 1st timeline not met. We were left with a huge hole for 2 weeks until we complained and only then did we get a crew out to work on the pool. Each timeline given wasn't met and we had to complain to get any work done. The filter installed didn't work and we again had to ask when it would be replaced. We were told it was instock, but it wasn't so another 2 weeks with a missed timeline. Then when installed we had to make them come and correct the shotty work. The slide we ordered didn't meet the footprint of the cement they calculated so we had to add a few feet, then we found out that even that wasn't enough so had to do another bump out to fit the slide. Of course at a significant additional cost. Forward a year; we have a crack in the cement, and found that the main light wasn't sealed and there is water in the conduit with electrical wires ( which they say is standard code). We.spoke with the electrician, a master electrician, and the inspector who all say this is wrong and the light isn't sealed properly. Instead of giving us a resolution they said we used our own electrician(we dod not) and voided our warranty. Each time we sent an email we got a laundry list of excuses as to why it isn't their fault with no resolution. This is just a small part of everything that is wrong. I could write a book on why I will never use this company again!
We just got our pool done by Polynesian Pool and Spa. So... the million dollar question is would I get it build again by this company. And... the answer is big YES!!!!!. Everything went smooth and delivered a good quality pool to us. Kids love the pool!!!! Wife loves the pool !!! And that's what matters to me. Special thanks to James from here for making things smooth and answering our questions. Thank you all !!! Have a good /safe summer.
Where do I begin... Currently we are in the process of selling my parents estate. Just before the summer had started, my realtor had mentioned that she thought having the pool open for showings would be a huge plus.... I arranged for Polynesian to do a scheduled full open of the pool ... My husband and I decided to take the tarp off only to discover the liner had ripped... Mike came out and did an estimate and we decided to go with them for a liner replacement. The liner looks great however they didnt cover up the existing trim around the steps, so pool and steps don't match. While gone on vacation, I received a text saying the pool liner was installed and we could finish filling the pool...??? I had spoke to a few people in regards to the fact that I needed the pool up and running because I had no clue what I was doing...when I got to the house to check on everything...the pool was bright green, no equipment running, no chemicals added and there was a dead bird, dead chipmunk and a dead mouse floating in the middle of the pool. A week later and several phone calls of empty promises to "finish" the $5,200 job I paid for and STILL no one has come out. Absolutely furious considering I've had to reschedule the photographer for listing the house twice already...I will NEVER go through Polynesian again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. The awesome neighbor who lives a couple houses down works for a pool company and helped us out, THANKFULLY we are on the right track ...
Jake/Dennis/Ed - these guys have been super helpful and supportive. I bought a refurbished spa from them a couple years ago and if this is how they sport support a used hottub completely out of any warranty, I'd feel very confident buying a new pool or spa from them. They got my wet end of my pump fixed with a new impeller and shaft seal, new parts on hand and put it together, cleaned up the shaft etc. And bench tested it for leaks and performance with water circulation for ~$100 - the owner personally did this in about 20minutes or so. I've had some more issues subsequently due to my own novice DIY installation (not knowing to channel lock down my joints and seals) then having to replace sections of PVC/flex pipe, gate valve issues and they've been great giving me simple pointers to address things. I'm now having an electrical issue that I'm trying to diagnose and address and I may need a replacement control board, a lose connection somewhere, or a faulty relay. I trust the polynesian team will continue this great support and help me get it sorted out. Thanks guys!
Went in with little info about the filter I needed. I did take some pictures but they were able to find what I needed and got me all set up after asking just a few questions. They have a lot of supplies in stock so you don't get stuck out in the cold by keeping your spa up and running.
If there was an option to rate Polynesian a half star… I most definitely would. Our pool was installed by Polynesian Pool & Spa in 2008, and what started out to be a great business relationship with our pool opening/closing slowly deteriorated when two of the best pool employees, Dave and Paul, left this company. Almost being charged for products not added to our pool was one thing but then to have their employees lie and say it was done while I was being talked to. Well, I reviewed our Ring camera footage and at not time did that ever take place (which was emailed to Dennis)! They wasted no time emailing the bill to me but ONLY deducted $18… clearly they stand behind their dishonest employees and do not value a customer of 16 years. All of my chemicals were off 2 days after our opening, as I took our pool water to be tested to another local company, so… I’m sure they probably didn’t add ANY chemicals to our pool. Polynesian… I applaud your dedication to stand behind your dishonest employees - at least you’re loyal to them even if you’re not to a customer of 16 years. Thank you for showing us EXACTLY who you are.
