Apple ABQ Uptown

6.3

Apple ABQ Uptown, situated within the Coronado Center in Albuquerque, serves as a key retail location for Apple products and services. It provides a space for customers to explore the latest hardware, software, and accessories, with a focus on a streamlined and organized presentation of Apple’s ecosystem. Specialized staff are present to assist with product selection and basic operational guidance, although the level of engagement can vary.

While the store offers a familiar Apple aesthetic, the effectiveness of the assistance provided may not consistently meet expectations. There have been reports indicating a prioritization of sales over in-depth troubleshooting or personalized support, impacting the overall customer journey and requiring greater attention to staff training and problem resolution skills, with a potential for enhancing the purchase experience.

Officially done with Apple. This new update is absolute garbage. Every single program I use is magnitudes worse than it was before. What if someone switched out your car in the middle of the night? I use PC at work. Yes it’s less sleek but works better for being 1/3 the price. Y’all care *so* little about your customer experience.

First off, I have Lots of PC experience and went in for 1st apple purchase. "Geniuses" were eager to sell but we're absolutely uninterested in helping introduce me to the $1600 purchase I was ready to make. "We just show you the basics" when what I was asking was pretty basic. They weren't swamped, clearly several more staff than customers. Do better folks! Of course once I got home and after multiple calls to customer support, I'm thrilled with the purchase. Mac laptops are great.

I had a terrible experience at the Albuquerque Uptown Apple Store with two employees, Gabby and Kai, who showed no real interest in helping solve my problem. They insisted what I needed was "impossible" to fix — yet I went home and figured out the solution myself in minutes. When I returned and kindly offered to show them how to fix it for future customers, they refused to even look. That kind of dismissive attitude says a lot about the toxic, lazy culture that’s taken hold at Apple retail. It’s sad to see how far the brand has fallen from its roots of curiosity, problem-solving, and customer care. I truly hope corporate leadership takes a hard look at what’s happening in their stores, because Apple’s reputation is starting to mirror its worst critics.

Today I was scolded for a return that I made. Not because I made the return, but because the card that I used is a credit/debit card. Don’t use a pin. Never have. Never do. The insisted that I had a pin and would have paid this way. Since I didn’t have a pin, I was told that they would have to put the return on a different card, but when they said this to me, it was the tone that took me aback. "This is the first and only time that we will do this for you"! No thank you. No goodbye. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years. Do better!

We are extremely disappointed with the service we received. We returned to the store to ask about the screen protector warranty we purchased at the time of buying our phones. To our surprise, the staff claimed we had not purchased any warranty, essentially suggesting that we were being dishonest. This is unacceptable. To make matters worse, before even offering us a proper solution, they removed the slightly cracked screen protector from my phone and ended up damaging it further. They attempted to install a new one, but it came off almost immediately—leaving me without any protection on my screen. This experience is frustrating and unacceptable, especially considering that we’ve been loyal iPhone customers for many years. We expected much better.

This place was absolutely packed when I walked in, yet the customer service was above and beyond in my opinion. Every employee was more than friendly and more than willing to help me out with my request. Was in and out in a very reasonable time.

I wish I could give this store more than 5 stars!! Specifically, Julia and Nick. After a long day of driving from Taos, to best buy in SF, to the Apple Store in ABQ, we were exhausted and had almost no hope of getting the phone fixed before driving the 2.5 hours home. We were helped by Julia at 4:40 PM, and despite an insanely busy day and likely long day helping customers, she was a lifesaver. Seriously such a blessing. She was helpful, kind, and sought out a tech to repair the phone even though they were closing for the day. Nick did a great job and we were able to leave with a fixed phone in hand that day. Thank you so much to you both!!
