Stewarts Photo quite literally saved our trip to Alaska for our honeymoon! I love shooting medium format film and my camera went kaput on me while in the middle of Denali National Park. I was incredibly bummed. We were staying in Anchorage the next day and I had hope that I would be able to find a new camera at Stewarts. We walked in and were greeted by smiles and helped very quickly by a wonderful gentleman - and it was just my luck that some medium format cameras had recently come in! As soon as he set them on the counter, I knew it was meant to be. I asked lots of questions because I wasn’t super familiar with this style of camera, and all were answered with great detail and so much patience and kindness. He helped me get it all set up, test the shutter, load the film, and got us all squared away so I could shoot for the rest of our trip! I only wish I would have gotten his name. Such a cool guy, and if we ever end up in Anchorage again I would 1000% come back to stock up on film and other supplies at Stewarts! Top notch customer service, the store is so nicely organized and centrally located downtown. Worth a stop for every photographer while you’re in town! ❤️

Upon entering Stewart’s Camera shop (4th Avenue) in Anchorage, I was very impressed! They had a wide array of camera options, equipment and merchandise. The gentleman who helped me, was very knowledgeable and addressed all my questions re: my camera. He explained in detail, regarding my lenses, along with other helpful suggestions and information. I am more than confident, making this recommendation for you! ✨I will most assuredly be returning for future purchases from this quality establishment!!!

Great service!!! Went in to buy a used camera and lens and got to spend a lot of time talking and finding the right accessories. Will buy from them again weather online or in the store. Got to take some great pictures while up there for work

I was in Anchorage, at the end of a cruise, about a month ago and stumbled upon this shop. Earlier that day I had fall in which I snapped my 500mm PF lens off of my D500. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I had time to kill so I went inside for advice. I immediately told them I wasn't buying anything but looking for guidance. They directed me to Nikon's repair site, even wrote it down for me, and told me it should be fixable. I spent about 15 minutes in the shop, and they treated me like I had purchased all of my equipment there knowing I was likely to never return. I left there at ease. Customer service is important to me, and they demonstrated that it is to them too. By the way, the lens was repaired and returned by Nikon within two weeks of sending it out and is good as new. If I'm ever in Anchorage again I know where to go for equipment or help.

I was visiting from Florida and was very lucky to found this place while in Anchorage. Everyone at the shop was super helpful when it came to buying 35mm film. I was able to drop my film off to get developed and my photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Turnaround time was about a week. I highly recommend Stewarts!

You can’t ask for a better group of people to sell photography equipment. Very professional and knowledgeable about photography. Everyone here is extremely helpful and kind. There is a large variety of equipment and lenses to choose from. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

The staff here was amazing. Very knowledgeable as they are photographers themselves, not just sales professionals. Bill assisted me in finding the perfect camera for my needs and current photographing abilities. Highly recommend this business.
