CVS Pharmacy

I want to give a shout out to Rachel on the night shift at the CVS at 3133 Langston Blvd in Arlington, VA!!! She is the nicest and most competent pharmacy tech I have ever experienced. My son goes to school in Norfolk. We were trying to get a prescription filled, for an urgent health matter, at the CVS nearest his college, and it wasn't working out. (The incompetence at this other CVS pharmacy was striking.) He was heading home on the train the next day, so we had to do something. I called store 1407 and left a message. In just a few minutes, I received a message saying the prescription had been transferred to that CVS and would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes!!! We had been dealing with the store in Norfolk for more than a day, back and forth, with them giving us inaccurate information the whole time. Anyway, hooray for Rachel at store 1407!!! Thank you so much!

If there was an option for "no stars" that’s what this store would earn. 1. The store is supposed to be open 24 hours but at 2 am was closed with a sign on the door saying the store would reopen at 5 am. We were sent by Virginia Hospital Center for pain meds that were weren’t able to get until hours later. 2. The pain meds were shorted. It was an opioid and only half the number of tablets in the prescription were in the bottle. 3. When I tried to call the pharmacy about the pill shortage, I was repeatedly cut off and never was able to talk to anyone. Someone is skimming opioids at this store and it’s impossible to get anyone there to take this seriously. And someone in pain is suffering because their pills are being stolen.

Returned home from college for winter break and wanted a simple transfer of my prescriptions to this pharmacy. I used the cvs app to request a transfer as well as called a physician to help with my request. The woman on the phone said she would reach out to me if the transfer was successful, however I waited hours on end for a call that would never come. I explained multiple instances that this was urgent, yet here we are. I’m highly disappointed in the level of service offered here.

Easy to schedule my appointment, technician was kind and courteous. Pleasant experience.

Best pharmacy you can ask for. Love the parking lot. Don’t go during rush hour!
