Customer Reviews
Harris Teeter has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 based on over 1087 reviews on Google
Deli folks are nice. Clean supermarket, parking in the garage is free for one hour, scan ticket when you leave and the gate will open. Usually parking available underground. Easy to get to.
Probably one of the most disgusting grocery stores I have ever had the chance to go to. The only reason this place is in business is because of a lack of other grocers in the immediate area; it largely serves the customer base of the surrounding apartments. The Target next door is a neighborhood Target so HT is the only place to buy diverse veggies/fruits unless you wanna fork over hundreds for the same stuff at the Whole Foods blocks away. The customer service is terrible, hardly ever any staff to check people out, and their food quality is abysmal. I have seen and heard mice scurrying around the breads section, found moldy Dave’s bread (like, completely covered in an inch of green fur), and moldy veggies that I’ll include pictures of. Their bagged veggies were weeks after their best by date at the BEST, soggy and wilted at the worst along with simply being expired. The veggie section constantly had nasty squished greens on the floor that they seem to pick up only hours after. We only shop here out of necessity, but be very careful selecting produce here.
It's a grocery store. The best value items I appreciate are when they partner with the producer to have sales of fresh vegetables or fruits. Another great saving is the variety of Harris Teeter store brand options you can choose from.
I just tried to get in the store and they said it’s closed because they are cleaning why can’t they do it after the official hours walked in this cold weather all the way to buy some groceries and facing this unprofessional situation
I go to this Harris Teeter regularly, and I’m not sure I will continue to because of the cleanliness and customer service experience. The shelves need to be wiped down—often, yogurt and milk containers are filthy on the bottom. The checkout experience is also unpleasant. About 95 percent of my trips to this location have had only self-checkout available. This would be fine if the self-checkout bagging area had enough space to hold larger grocery runs, but there is really only room for three bags worth of groceries. The anti-theft video monitoring is so strong that you can’t move a full bag off the bagging area without locking the self-checkout and requiring you to wait (sometimes a while) for an employee to come and unlock it. Overall, this store is in a convenient location for me, but it’s not clean enough or easy enough to check out for me to choose it over other nearby grocery stores.
