Lloyd Hotel Astoria Bayfront, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very nice, friendly hotel. I love the decor, especially all the slate floors and walls. The library was really cool. The 5:00pm free salmon chowder was superb. The pool and hot tub worked great - very strong jets. The scrambled eggs for the free breakfast were the best ever! Oh, I almost forgot... the free fresh daily cookies were also very nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

The hotel and location were perfect for our trip. Jessi was a huge help with confirming our reservation several weeks prior, and she welcomed us warmly upon our arrival at the hotel. The suite was spacious, open, well-designed, and quiet, overlooking the river. Our check-in experience, the free breakfast provided, and smooth check-out experience also contributed greatly to our satisfaction (the afternoon salmon chowder was excellent, too!). At our check-out we got to meet the general manager, who also provided excellent service and asked about our experience. She listened to us and thanked us kindly for our business and invited us to return the next time we were in Astoria. All in all, this hotel gave us a wonderful experience. Yes, we would definitely stay here again.

We just love staying here every year for many reasons. We come for the Great Columbia Crossing 10k walk. We like the location with the great views. We like the peaceful location and we like them room comfort. This year we stayed in the suite with Fireplace and Hot tub, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub this time around. We loved the complimentary breakfast selections and the evening - free corn clam chowder taste wonderful, I think It’s even better than Moes clam chowder. We like the friendly atmosphere of the staff.The nice lady that has been working in the breakfast area for over 10 years I believe she said. She’s such a had worker - they’re lucky to have her, I highly recommend they give her more money… The free WiFi worked okay. The only thing that I didn’t like was how much the room rate increased price gauging for the night of the walk. * I highly recommend this hotel and you will not be disappointed. We will see you next year. Thank you and keep up the great job

Your pool and hot tub need an overhaul. The carpets in the hallways might need cleaning or replacing. Your rooms and everything in them is perfect. Especially the mattress. Also, the morning breakfast is great. Everything is tasty and hot. Serving ladies do a wonderful job. We especially like the evening chowder and special flavored water that is put out during the day. We will come back again!

We had a very satisfactory stay. The room was comfortable and had the expected amenities. i.e. microwave and fridge, flat screen TV, robes, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate with a nice tiled shower. A single sink set into a granite counter provided adequate space for toiletries. Easy driving distance to downtown. It's near the end of the trolley, but the trolley only does a round trip every hour so is not that practical for getting around. The location is right at the western end of the river walk which runs for 4.5 miles to the east so it provides good walking through the boatyards away from traffic. We were on the ground floor in the back so our view was the river walk and a green hill. No view of the water, but the room was quiet.

At check-in we were invited to have some warm salmon chowder. The girls at the desk were very friendly (sorry I don't remember their names). They did a great job and were very informative as to the lay out, when and where breakfast would be served, and of course, the cookies. The room was very clean and cozy. The bed was firm but soft. The air conditioning was quiet. Plenty of coffee in the bedroom. It was quiet and we had a beautiful view of the river. Watching the sunset, the boats, and the full moon was a real treat. We would definitely go back.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the amenities are plentiful! They serve warm cookies at 3:00 then smoked salmon chowder at 5:00. The staff was kind and helpful and bed was super helpful! The Goonies house and the school where Kindergarten Cop was filmed are within walking distance which was awesome to me! We would definitely stay here again!
