Best shop in town! If you like things on two wheels, you will love this place. The staff is great! By far the best thing in downtown Bham. they are in a new location and it is much larger.. The parking lot entrance comes up quick so pay attention..
I have gone to the shop for repairs and purchases numerous times. The service has generally been exceptionally good, but today was not one of those good days. Dee, who is usually courteous and polite was just the opposite today.I guess today was one of his bad days that we all have at some time. Hopefully my next contact will be better.
A welcome to the community, you are mainly seeing people ride their bicycles around Birmingham all the time, but what is there any use to your bicycle if you can't make repairs to it, you're basically not taking care of it. Even something as simple as airing up the tires could potentially save your life. Service: Excellent, guys up front were super chill and worth mentioning, they have bike rentals mostly consisting of hybrids and city bikes, sometimes drop down bars too. Atmosphere: Looks like a homemade business, but old and vintage like, there are many bicycles and that's all you will ever see in this bicycle store, just bike, bike and did I forget to mention, BIKE?! Quality: Not too expensive, but it's a bit on the cheaper side, you can always rent a bike but there are electric bikes here too like Aventon (BEST) and some mountain bikes worth mentioning, not like Trek or Santa Cruz level but Specialized and that brand is a very good brand.
Here’s a story about why non profit bike shops are the best: The folks here instantly took me in and helped get my bike sorted out. I needed to do a deep clean on the drivetrain which took about an hour of soaking an pressure washing. It was really overdue! I got to do this work mostly by myself with assistance. Then someone said they wanted help stringing lights for a party they were throwing the next day and I got to volunteer some time! It’s a great sense of community here and having just passed through on a road trip I feel like I have made friends who I want to keep in contact with! They sell new bikes from Kona, Marin and maybe a few others.. but they also have some very well assembled used bikes.
I really can't say enough about Redemptive. They have an amazing crew who are upfront and honest. I highly recommend them! They repaired and treated my bikes like they were their very own.
First time in, and it was a fantastic experience! My sons bmx bike needed some light work done, and Daniel took it upon himself to get his bike up and running like new. Didn't ask for anything in return. We live in Trussville and live half a mile from another bike shop, but I'll definitely make the drive to come here for all my cycle needs. The bham community should be proud to have a place like this!
The worker here quickly and affordably fixed the brakes on my son’s bike. Friendly shop with lots of new and some used bikes for sale. They seem to do any repairs. They have a parking lot and a convenient ramp to get bikes into the shop.
