U-Haul Moving & Storage at Mass Ave Boston

First 5 star U-Haul location ever! I couldn't say enough about this location - talked and interacted with David and George (manager) with some pretty complicated requirements and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Was doing a major gig for work too. Made our company look awesome. Thank you, thank, you, thank you!!! I LOVE EFFICIENCY!!!!!

This review relates to this location's PROPANE refilling service. I have used this service MANY times to refill my 20 lb. tank. Location is convenient and the personnel have always been very friendly and efficient. P.S. Refilling a tank v swapping an "empty" tank for a filled one (Blue Rhino etc.) is much more advantageous from a financial perspective. Plus you get to keep YOUR own tank!

I had to move my daughter from Boston to Seattle in early May. U-Haul Mass Ave is a short distance from her apartment so I went with them rather than PODS. I rented a van which we loaded with her belongings then took it to Mass Ave and loaded a U-Box to be shipped home. The staff is great and friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed and were very patient with all my questions. Thanks guys!!

My move was short and quick, but still stressful. The process was made so much easier by how simple it was to pick up the rental and by the friendly, helpful staff. Their service truly made a difference during a hectic time.

I had a terrible experience at the U-Haul location on Massachusetts Avenue on July 22nd around 1 PM. The person in charge of trailer drop-offs was extremely rude and unprofessional. From the moment I arrived, he showed no willingness to help or provide any guidance. Instead, he kept shouting at me, saying things like "Get out, move the car!" in a very disrespectful and aggressive tone. When I asked if that was the correct place for the trailer return, he just "No!" without offering any explanation or directing me elsewhere. He made me feel completely unwelcome and disrespected. I’ve used U-Haul many times before, but I’ve never been treated with such blatant hostility. This kind of behavior is unacceptable — customers deserve basic courtesy and respect. I truly hope U-Haul addresses this issue seriously and considers proper training for this staff member. I will think twice before ever returning to this location.

Awful. Wish I could give 0 stars. Understaffed, promised truck for 9am. I got the keys quick enough, but then could not get anyone to help me with getting the truck ready to go. I waited for over an HOUR with the truck keys while I had movers waiting at home for the truck! When I expressed my frustration, they yelled at me to be patient. The LEAST I should get is a refund. I don't understand why they scheduled over a dozen people for 9AM pickup during prime moving season when they only have three people working. I paid $600 to have the truck at 9am - not 10am, not 11 am, not in the afternoon. Staff was rude and cussing each other and customers out. Save yourself the goddamned headache and rent a truck literally anywhere else. Never using ANY U-Haul location ever again.
