Movers 101

BEWARE!!! i wish i could give a negative rating for this company. poor customer service and sense of responsibility!!! availed for their services, was charge way too expensive after they transported our things versus the quote that was given to me (that is their tactics to get more money from you) and they mishandled our stuff (some are lost, stolen and broken). i filed for a claim but they will just give you promises until you give up. they will ignore all your emails and phone calls until they will totally block your number from their system. please please don’t trust this company. all they are after is to get more money from you. bunch of scammers!

BE AWARE!!!!! The Price will sky rocket. Guy Guess-timated by googling the house, then said 7-8 Thousand from western NY to Alabama. Then did a phone walk through and AFTER THE DEPOSIT raised to 27000. TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND! Told him Refund my money. Oddly it went to 20000, JUST LIKE THAT. Then I tipped the driver to help with two items not included he said "I get more than this" He ASKED FOR MORE. After the move I got a "MANAGERS SPECIAL of 100 off the price for giving a PROMPTED HOW TO ANSWER referral. SHOTTY CHEESY. They USE the We support US Veteran's label too!!! BE AWARE!

I still haven’t received my goods yet. They called me on 9/13/24 and said someone will be out in a week or so. I reminded them I was on a military base and they need to have proper documentation. I was told they deal with a lot of military and to don’t worry. Sri we called me that Monday and said he would be here on Thursday. I also reminded him that I was on a military base he said no problem. The day came and he could not get on base because he had contraband in his cabin per military police and he needed his registration which he did not have nor 2 forms Of identification. He ended up Putting my goods in storage. I asked for a redelivery and was told it would be $300 more at this point I needed my goods. I was told someone from the company would call me and I haven’t heard from anyone. It has almost been a week and I have called everyday since and keep getting the run around from the broker company Menards and movers 101 movers. I have spoken with Ava and Tim at Menards with promises that they will call me back or someone from the other company will call for a redelivery. Nothing yet.

These guys are fantastic! Louie and his crew were absolute pros and did a great job. When they arrived, they first packed up and wrapped all my furniture along with the TV, glass and some other things. They made sure everything was all packed up correctly. After, they then brought everything down to the truck to load. Very efficient, effective, and just smart in general. I feel this definitely saved a lot of time moving out of the building. Unloading everything was a breeze. I plan on working with them again in the future when I return to NYC. I highly recommend these guys

They were extremely careful and quick. They arrived on time and wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped, disassembled furniture, and made sure it was all safe and did not scuff anything. The movers were very personable too. They were also the best quote/price we received. Highly recommend.

I just had a long move from New York to Chicago and Movers 101 helped immensely! Although they were a bit late on their arrival & my boyfriend & I helped carry some items down to make things go a bit faster since we had to catch a flight, I moved during one of the busiest weeks & so this was a non-issue for us! Sean booked my move, Juan helped me review all my items at pick up and was extremely personable! Delivery people were super pleasant & communicative! I missed a call from one of them and they were patient and polite upon my call back! One thing I will say is that the communication between workers and office could be a bit more clear as I filled out a payment form and then they asked for different payment a few times, but once this was explained that the authorization form was already sent, we were on the same page again! Overall a minor hiccup in the entire move! My items arrived as I packed them, one small acrylic table that was already cracked before the move was cracked more upon arrival, but I anticipated this as it was already cracked so not a problem! Still giving 5 stars because of how great the actual movers were! If you’re looking for people to help, they’ve got you covered! Thank you!!

This is one of the best moving companies and highly recommend them. They made moving all my things to my new apartment such a breeze. They came early before the time they said they would come and helped me pack up all my things and load the truck. They ensured me that all my stuff will arrived at the apartment the same way they packed it. Their service is beyond wonderful and they work with you to make sure you are completely satisfied. Even all my friends were also impressed by how fast they moved all my stuff over to my new apartment. All of the workers were very friendly and helpful as well. I had a great time doing business with them. I had no problems with them and their prices are affordable as well!
