I hardly write reviews, but I felt the need to write this to inform anyone who is interested in going with this company for their long distance move to RETHINK . I moved from Philadelphia pa to Savannah Ga . Initially I was satisfied with the communication from Olympus as I received my quote and any questions leading up to the move were quickly and easily answered. They even sent a moving kit ( though the boxes included were so small ) . Communication the move day was great too , I was advised of an ETA and the movers came within the projected time . First major issue with this company was my quote turned into practically $1,300 more which was basically doubled !!! I expressed my concerns with the movers and they said it’s because my items were big and bulky... I am very proactive and transparent and expressed to the woman who gave me my quote exactly what I had and how big they were , I also asked how much it would be to pack up my TV , she knew the size and expressed it would be $50 whereas move day that alone cost $200... however the foreman said he’d only charge $100 for the packaging of the TV .. whatever thanks for "helping out" sir . I’m also realistic and understand a quote is just an estimate so I was prepared to pay a couple $100 more if I had too , but $1,300 above estimate is absurd as an estimate is a general ball park . If anyone knows a cross states move is expensive, but this company will 100% nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING and the other reviews are so accurate . They know people need to move and take advantage of that vulnerability because you’re desperate and need to move when they come... ok so fast forward to me calling in and saying how upset I was about the major price change, the guy acted apologetic and said I’d get a call , but nothing of course . Fast forward again to day of delivery .. once again communication was pretty good ... but BAM SO MANY ITEMS WERE BROKEN AND DAMAGED . starting with my bed frame ... broken , my tv stand .... broken , my dresser... big chipped piece of wood in the corner... RIDICULOUS. They said the bed frame was an easy fix but the movers said there would be liability issues so they seemed hesitant to actually fix it . Plus I’m not interested in a boot leg fix anyways... I want my items arriving just as they left . I called into the office and the guy that answered was not apologetic whatsoever .... he even knew my bed frame was broken and offered to send someone by to fix it and said I should expect a call later in the week again of course no call.... so I call back in and at this point they say I need to go through a claims process which they make so difficult ... I am currently going through this process now . I know this is lengthy, but I am not rich , I work hard for my money and I worked three jobs for this move only for them to make this one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Please do yourself a favor and go with someone else . It’s one thing to be charged way more , but it’s another to have major damages on top of that . I paid for quality work which I didn’t receive . Very very very disappointed and karma will get back to this company .

Moving stuff from NJ to GA, I hired these "movers" for the job. Not only did Teresa lie to me about when they would arrive in Georgia, but when they finally make the delivery, the guy doing the move, Tony, gets lost. THEN, after he does the move, he asks me for a tip, texts me not forget him, then texts "Good Morning' the next day to me to 'nudge' me for said tip. I told him I would send it after I inspect the move. After seeing the condition of my pieces, no, Tony didn't get a tip. Among the problems: 1. A broken antique chair 2. A scratched table occurring when no blanket or foam was placed under another piece laying on top. If they took a second, they could've at least flipped the table over onto its rubber feet. 3. Leaving 3 heavy pieces on the ground floor and not moved to the 2nd floor as agreed leaving my wife and I to do it. Upon seeing all this, I called Tony, who after hearing how upset I was, said to take it up with the company. The last straw was when I talked to Leo at Olympus about the problem. He had me send him the attached pictures and told me to give him 2 days to handle it. That was on December 22. It's now 11 days later and I've gotten nothing. No call, no text, no email, no smoke signal. Nothing. Do yourself a favor, do NOT hire this company. They don't care about your stuff and just want to rip you off. What should've tipped me off is that the way they answer the phone. After it's rings, someone picks up and after a few seconds of silence they say, 'Hello'. They don't even give the name of the company. THAT should've been my first tip off that they're not legit. Stay away from these idiots.

i moved almost a year ago, but never got a chance to write a review. But they were so honest and took such good care of the furniture that I never forgot and made sure to write one. This industry has a bad name, but Olympus is a rose amongst thorns! I got scammes by All American Moving before i used them but Olympus came in and helped me out and for cheaper than everyone else! Everyone should to use them! Adam is great!

Let me make this simple for you…. do NOT use Olympus Moving and Storage. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. They are characterized by pushy sales, deceitful practices and outright lying. It’s hard to earn a one star review, but this company did.

I was looking around for companies that could move me from NY to Florida. I went to the office and began going over the items I needed moved. I also added that I had 40 pairs of shoes that needed to be transported. . employee from the Brooklyn office felt it was a good idea to omit the information Ifrom the contract that was agreed upon. Come moving day I was informed that the items were not listed on the document he had. I had to pay an additional $350. I called the young lady and inquired about why she took the sneakers off the contract. She told me that she took them off bc they don't move pairs of sneakers. I told her that she should have told me that I had to give the amount of boxes it would take in order to move them and the young lady was rather quiet. I spoke to her supervisor and was informed that I would get a $100 discount even though me paying more for the move was due to negligence of his employee. Once I was able to thoroughly check the boxes i doscovered thst one was missing that contained some pretty expensive belongings. I also discovered that there was a huge gash on my very expensive cannondale bike frame. Somehow, these folks managed to scrape the paint off down to bare aluminum due to not properly securing the bike frame while in transit. Overall, this company is spot on to the negative reviews you see here. These types of reviews were a red flag that I should have heeded and never contacted this company. Save yourself the stress, time, and money.......find a reputable mover that doesn't have 1 trillion negative reviews.

The move I had with Olympus Moving and storage was great. Because it was so late I picked up my moving kit at the office. They came on time to move everything. The supervisor and movers were so nice. They had everything moved out of the apartment in like 30 minutes. And they were able to deliver my items in NC within 2 days. Wonderful company to work with. I will recommend them to anyone.
