Clean Energy Alliance

2.3

Clean Energy Alliance, based in Carlsbad, operates as a community choice aggregator (CCA), providing renewable energy options to customers in the area. They facilitate energy procurement and delivery, often partnering with existing infrastructure like that of SDG&E for billing and grid management. The focus is on offering a localized approach to energy sourcing.

Navigating the process of enrollment and account management can present challenges, and some customers have encountered difficulties with billing accuracy and communication. Clean Energy Alliance aims to offer alternative energy sources and local energy production, but improvements in customer support are desired to enhance the overall experience and ensure transparent account handling.

Last time I checked, I called & signed up with SDGE for service..I received my first bill preview from SDGE with some random company charges from this company who popped out the woodwork like vermin. I NEVER signed up with this company, I was never told my information would be given to this random company, then when I asked for a refund I was told no after I asked to OPT out. Well since SDGE does YOUR billing, I called them and told them & they happily removed the charges. I had to go through an entire political dissertation with "Clean Energy" Alliance just to opt out of something I never opted into. This cant be legal, to get ALL of my personal information without my consent. How are you stealing SDGE’s customers right from under them? Through legislation??? If you want customers, market your own company, contract your own billing & build your own infrastructure through crowd funding and stop taking away peoples right to choose who they want as an energy company as well as stealing SDGE’s customers without their consent.

Never received a bill in regards to a payment due September 13th 2023 just got notified by financial credit network ( they're collections) that I am past due. The bill was supposedly sent out February 2024 and I just received it 7 days ago. I'm happy to pay any amount I did owe but it is ridiculous how horrible they communicate. No one knows how to help me. " it's through sdge" "call fcn" "we'll call you tomorrow when we aren't busy". I will be opting out as soon as I get home as this type of customer service and poor communication does not deserve customers. I hope they improve.

I have read all the currently posted reviews for the Clean Energy Alliance and think that most of them are meant for a different entity since they make LITTLE or NO SENSE. I have been receiving a higher percent of renewable energy at a lower cost than I did from SDG&E. I can always switch back to SDG&E if I want to do business with an Investor Owned Utility monopoly that focuses on utility scale renewable energy that requires tearing up our back country. I much prefer as much local renewable energy production as feasible, creating LOCAL jobs, LOCAL business opportunities, and increased resilience. Think of all the LOCAL parking lots and rooftops that could be providing shade and generating income.

In pure California fashion, they have found a new way to screw people. Opt out. The online opt-out was not recognizing my SDGE account. Called, on hold for ever...even though the automated voice said "zero customers ahead of you". I am so tired of this kind of stuff...they know what they're doing, they're screwing you and are no help when you want to opt out. This kind of situation should be illegal.

They won’t stop calling with a relentless robotic service with a different number each time. Scam artists with some idealistic money laundering scheme presenting me as the owner of a property I don’t own that already has solar. STOP LOSERS

I called them and spoke with someone named "Jonathan" who refused to give me his last name He also said under a new California Law they could switch home owners unless they opt out & give them their SDG&E account This is not legal, despite what they say and these people work at call centers. Ask for names and phone numbers and post them and take them to court.

I RENTED a CA apartment for 90 days LAST YEAR and I'm getting notices of late payment from nasty debt collectors that these jagoffs sought on me! What an absolute headache. Their phone number has been disconnected!
