All My Sons Moving & Storage has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 6348 reviews on Google
I am utterly shocked to see this business has 4.5 stars. I want to preface this by stating the company DID give us a partial refund as we requested in the end, but if you read any review of this company, I firmly believe it should be this one before you make a final decision on which moving company you choose. I also want to state that our family are seasoned movers - my husband served in the US Army for 17 years and we have dozens of moves under our belt over the last 25 years. This is our 20th address, so we are not new to this process. My husband put a deposit down for a 3BR, 2 full bathroom, kitchen, full garage, backyard, dining room, office and great room move sometime in February. Easy peasy, it was ~$100. As the move got closer, I asked my husband to triple check pricing and how many men, size truck, etc. He spoke with an employee named Scott. I heard my husband as he walked through our home, telling Scott we had a Blackstone, we had a peloton, etc etc...thinking Scott was checking all the boxes for the final dispatch. We also let them know we didn't pack a thing and the team would need to bring materials, so we were told about $200 worth of boxes would be coming with. We were also told someone would be arriving at the home before the truck to go through our kitchen, do inventory, etc. The day of the move, no one showed up for inventory or to do the kitchen. We never even saw an inventory sheet. There was no foreman. Three young men showed up, took one look at our house and said "Wow, we were not prepared for this." One employee said he had only been with AMS for about two weeks, and the two others for about 3-5 months. They brought 10-20 boxes and 2 rolls of packing tape. They had ZERO wardrobe boxes. All of our things they could muster into boxes were thrown in, resulting in multiple items being broken. What was worse than that, as these things are replaceable is the job was left totally incomplete. We were left with a full garage, not a single thing was moved out of it, every closet was completely full, the kitchen was not moved out at all, they left random furniture all over the house, pillows from our couch and all our bedrooms were thrown into my son's old bedroom. We were quoted it would be ~$146 per hour for three movers + $200 for boxes and materials + labor and that it would be about a 6 hour move, 8, max. We estimated this to be ~$1500. We paid $1968.32 for a 10+ hour job that left us with an estimated 25% of the house still left. We fully expected that all we would need to do the day after AMS moved us out would be to grab our bathrooms (as to save time, we told the crew to leave them) and our china plates. We had to rent a 20ft Uhaul for TWO DAYS AFTER THE MOVERS CAME to get the rest of the items out ourselves! When I called the next morning, I spoke to Greg - and I will say, I was totally irate. He may respond and say as much, too - but tell me how I should remain calm in this situation being out two grand and still having half a home to move with NO HELP? He told me he could not send anyone to help my husband finish the move that day as the movers had already been dispatched and he would investigate the issue and call me back. My husband took photos as you will see below of what was left in the house, and I sent an overview of the issue to Greg to review. He called my husband after that and tried to nickle and dime him down from the requested PARTIAL refund we asked for, and had the audacity to say he could send 2 guys out to help him the next day at a discounted rate of $90/hr! NO THANKS! We wound up with around $490 returned to us - and a horrible experience. I want to state we were nothing but accommodating to the crew themselves. These were young men who were clearly not set up for success and not properly trained on the move. AMS had TWO MONTHS to get this project aligned and completed effectively - their hold music will tell you their customers are why they exist, the boxes will tell you they will move you comfortably - and I WILL TELL YOU THIS WAS ANYTHING BUT COMFORTABLE.
0/10 HORRRRRRRIBLE There were so many issues with this company. Many of my items were damaged due to how the movers packed the truck. They packed heavy boxes on top of my dresser drawers and glasses, resulting in holes in my wood drawers and broken glass. While going to lock up to U-Haul, I realized that they stacked my 55' and 58' TVs on top of each other in the front seat of the U-Haul. Because they were stacked, the leg of one of the TV's stabbed the screen of the other one, resulting in damages to the screen. I completely covered my mattress with a mattress cover. When I opened the U-Haul I noticed that the cover was taken off, resulting in damages to my mattress. I have been trying to reach out to the office for two weeks. Each time I try to speak to management or the claims department about these complaints, I am placed on hold for more than 15 minutes or transferred to random departments. The last time I called, I was transferred to the IT department, and they were confused as to why I was transferred to them to make a complaint. I have been given the run around since this has occurred. I am at a loss and will be spending more than $600 to replace my damaged items. Please avoid this company at all cost.
I do not recommend using AMS due to bad faith in claims handling. I used them to move furniture from my old house to a new one we just purchased. The movers caused structural damage to both homes and damaged several pieces of furniture. I understand these things happen and would have been fine had AMS taken responsibility and paid for the damages. I have been in claims and insurance for over 35 years and am appalled at how our claim is being handled. We were asked to submit pictures of all the damage and a repair estimate for the structural damage at the old house. AMS did not offer to send anyone out to assess the damage. We submitted a repair estimate and had our wall and rails repaired so we can put the house up for sale. AMS said they did not authorize the repairs and offered $200 towards repairs of $2,000. $200 doesn't even cover the sheet rock, painting and replacing the stairway rails and labor. When asked how they came up with $200, their response was "we obtain comparable repair estimate in the area". I asked for a copy of these comparable estimates and was told they were not allowed to provide. If they in fact had comp estimates, these should be provided to support their $200 offer. This $2k doesn't even cover damages at the other house and furniture. Damage at my new house was probably another $5k for structural and furniture (1 piece of furniture was a glass curio cabinet that shattered into pieces) One of the movers was very apologetic and took pictures as well and was embarrassed. . Again, this stuff happens and is why we have insurance. The movers were pleasant to work with. Had they used safety equipment to move furniture down stairs, damage at my old house may not have happened. In addition, the movers took shots of liquor in my kitchen which I’m sure contributed to the damage they caused. AMS claims offered $840 for all of the damage at BOTH houses. This claim is not being handled in good faith and will cost AMS more just in litigation fees. I was willing to compromise but was rejected. Had the claim been taken care of promptly and in good faith, this would have been a good review. Here are some photos. I would like to speak to someone from AMS Corp (not claims) to discuss and attempt to resolve without legal action.
Grant, Manuel & Jose were awesome! They helped us move our entire apartment and garage and did an amazing job moving everything and gentle with all of our belongings. Highly recommend them for any move!
I can't say enough how great All My Sons Moving and Storage were from beginning to end. The entire process was so stress free. Raymundo, Erick and Jose Angel were extremely professional. They went above and beyond what they were hired to do. Things were packed and moved with extreme care. I would highly recommend All My Sons Moving and Storage. Ask for Raymundo, Erick and Jose Angel you won't regret it.
Daniel and his team conducted the relocation with professionalism and diligence. Daniel was very articulate when asked to explain some of the price points associated with the move to my spouse. We moved from a three bedroom apartment to a house and this crew kept it under four hours - an incredible accomplishment considering the summer temps and multiple staircases. No damages to report as packing material and proper handling mitigated any concerns. I would recommend service to others but know Daniel's crew of three "can deliver the goods" without issue. A crew member even showed us a magic trick! Positive experience overall and would use this company again. High regards for this Daniel led crew. ~ Horn Family.
Keith, Xavier & Kurt they were our movers names and they were fantastic. They showed up before the scheduled arrival time. They finished on time. Put everything exactly where my mom wanted it and we're so respectful. We had new carpet laid the lady before and they put down protection for her carpet as to not walk on it. I can't say enough good things about them. Reasonable in price, quality service, and over all excellent experience. Recommended 10/10
