Absolutely the best! We have looked into going solar for a long time now and researched many different companies in NC. Randi with Red Group Charlotte has been the absolute best to work with. She’s provided us with answers to all our various questions. She clearly explained everything to us (pros / cons of solar sizes, how the power programs work, how panels and backup batteries work, warranties and even odd questions about hail / weather, etc..) and has been incredibly patient as well as knowledgeable about the entire system. Other companies just tried to sell us solar and could not even answer directly some basic questions. We are sincerely grateful for Randi and the RED group. We highly recommend them to anyone!

I want to thank everyone at Renewable Energy Design Group for my new solar power system with a battery back up. Just to let anyone reading this review, I had two other solar companies give me bids (or I tried to). One company had what I call a hard sales technique (which immediately turned me off) and also they were pressuring me to buy their system because I would loose out on some money and benefits. Obviously I did not go with them and I am so glad, because I later found out in the news that they had declared bankruptcy. The next company I contacted wanted to put over 100 solar panes on my roof. I told them to give me other options and never heard back from them again. So onto my review of RED Group. Jeff was the first one I met for my project and he explained everything to me in terms that I could understand. My system is a little different because I already have a whole house back up generator, so they had to make sure the solar power system would work with it. Jeff said that he was not the brains in the company, but said that his partner Christian is, and that he would design a system that would work. At this time I am still waiting for Duke Energy to install my new meter so I can start up my solar power system, but everything seems to work fine. I would recommend RED Group.

I was approached by several solar sales reps that were marketing for other companies. I was seriously considering a system with another provider when a friend suggested I reach out to REDGROUP. I am glad that I did. Not only did we get a better quality system it was at a more affordable price than other quotes. If you are considering solar you owe it to yourself to consult with REDGROUP. We were totally satisfied with our solar system designed and installed by Renewable Energy Design Group 3 years ago. Installation was a breeze. Again, they had a good crew and they knew what they were doing. Our system included an EV charging station. A small technical regret. Our system is on a detached building, and sub panel and we learned after installation that we were not able to use the Solar Edge usage/ generation monitoring feature and now pretty expensive to retrofit. We can only see generation and consumption reports on our power provider website but not in real time. Update. Sales and installation 2 years ago was 5 star. Network Communication with Solar Edge has been very spotty ever since installation and makes remote system diagnosis impossible, but now resolved. Experience regarding follow-up, cost and communication about some after-installation issues including warranty work less than 5 star. Any visit to our installation is currently $350. Our panels were made in Canada. The attached photo shows our installed system. The structure is log and the roof is not totally level and square.

Great job. Quick, clean and professional installation. All options discussed and questions answered about the entire system. I researched solar panels and installers for several months before choosing Renewable Energy Design group. Christian and Melvin were great to work with and very knowledgeable. Competitive pricing and no high pressure sales tactics. I made the right choice.

Great team, great work! Loved the no haggle, no pressure approach (which is different from other installers). It took me 5 *years* to get back to them, but when I finally did they gave me another quote and, from the time I re-contacted them to the time the system was installed, it was a mere 5 months. Then with all the inspections and Duke interconnect stuff, it was only 5 weeks before we were up and running. In these crazy times, that's fantastically fast! We will definitely hire Red Group again when it's time to install a battery. In the meantime, we're very happy with them and glad to be getting off the fossil fuel train. Thank you!
