U-Haul Moving & Storage of Farm Pond

This U-Haul location in Charlotte was a decent experience. We rented a 9’ Cargo Van for 9 hours to move a couch and the original U-haul location routed us to this location. The check-out process was somewhat interrupted by the customer service agent attending incoming calls, and we felt that the location could help with some more staff. Also, the U-haul rentals in general are quite expensive, which while not a shortcoming of this location, is something to keep in mind(given how "affordable" they advertise U-hauls to be). They tack the insurance, mileage cost and a bunch of other costs on the base cost. The total for us came to 120 dollars plus gas(10-15 dollars) for a trip of 50 miles. Moving shouldn’t have to be this expensive. This location has your typical U-haul items: truck and trailer rentals in different sizes, moving supplies for sale(cardboard boxes, packing tape, furniture pads, bubble wrap, stretch wrap etc.), moving equipment rentals(dollies, furniture sliders), self-storage unit and much more. There’s a restroom inside which was clean when we visited. The check-out process was pretty fast with a staff member checking you out after you arrived, which we appreciated. Overall, this is one of the better U-haul locations in Charlotte.

Truck was clean but transmission slipped when going into drive or reverse. Took several seconds to engage but then was fine until you needed to change direction again. Battery was also weak. Had emergency flasher on for 20 minutes while we unloaded and it acted like it didn't want to start.

The employees were very attentive, and we had a truly pleasant experience. Your offices are impressive, and the visible security measures, including cameras, contributed to a sense of comfort. The entire process was smooth and easy. Thank you.

The customer service staff was amazing! Very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable! I was in a bind due to Budget Truck Rental on Independence Blvd giving the truck I reserved to someone else. This Uhaul location saved the day! Kudos to all the staff especially the manager. (sorry do not have her name)

Pretty blown away at how much of a scam this location is. I rented a 15 foot truck which gets 10 mpg and drove 8 miles. My contract confirms 8 miles was driven. When returning I stopped at the QT across the street and put in a little over a gallon to replenish the 8 miles I drove. When I got my receipt they claimed I did not return it at the level I received it and charged me for 3 gallons of gas! When I called and asked the woman how an 8 mile total trip could possibly take 3 gallons of gas AND I put a little over a gallon in AND have the receipt she told me to call corporate. When I called corporate the associate I spoke with was confused as well how an 8 mile trip could possibly take 3 gallons of gas. The corporate associate also pulled up the pictures and said to her it looks like it was at 1/2 a tank returned like when it was picked up. She said a manager from that location would call me to get this resolved but the terrible customer service at this location is still enough for me to leave a 1 star review. A few months ago I got a truck from this same location and used the app to return after hours and the trucks were lined out to the main road almost blocking it!

I came to have a hitch installed on my car and unfortunately the box has the wrong item. RJ went ANOVE and BEYOND to help me get one from a different store the next day. I have never received such good customer service in my life. Man needs a raise and a promotion! Incredibly happy and incredibly satisfied.

It was a terrible experience. I had a 10x5 storage unit booked. But when I arrived they said there was no free space. I had to go to another location fully loaded. I wasted my time. The black woman harassed us.
