Took my hedge trimmer in for a trim. I asked how much? Kid behind the counter said 8 or 9 bucks. Just picked it up. They charged me DOUBLE. I told the "workers" that I was told half. They said, he's new. I said that isn't really my problem. I would like to have 9 bucks back. Nope. No way. Told me to come back in the morning and speak with the owner! I don't have time for this!! First, when you agree to a price with a customer, that's what the customer owes. Not double. This is a terrible way to do business. I've lived in this area for over 30 years. I've done business here many times as has my partner. The only reason to do business with a small business owner is to keep much needed business within the neighborhood. We know we are overpaying but want to help them stay alive amongst the big box stores. Now this purchase was a trim, which goes to another dude who brings them back on Friday. Okay, you still are the vendor. Just be honorable! That's WHY we use your business.

Love this place! I always find what I need and the staff are always super helpful and friendly. In a time when customer service is non existent at most places Small’s knows how important it is!

I needed salt for the recent snow. They were one of the only places that had some left in the area. They were so helpful and brought it out to my car for me as well.

Lucky to have a local hardware store with old school customer service keep up the good work guys plus they have freaking fresh pop corn !
