Just recently had our wedding here, and man was It perfect! From the time me and my wife took a tour of the venue, throughout the entire process of planning the wedding, everything went great! The venue owner Scott was amazing at communicating with us for any questions we had, and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. The staff was amazing as well. The Eastern is the place to go for any event!
We had our wedding reception here in October 2022 and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside patio area and beautiful architecture, plenty of parking. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. You can really make it into anything you want! Emily, the main contact, is very knowledgeable and was so helpful the entire way through. My partner and I had our wedding here and it was absolutely the best! We looked at a few other warehouse type venues and landed on The Eastern. The staff at The Eastern was amazing to work with and really made the whole experience so special. 10/10 would throw another event here.
I was a guest at a wedding here. I was expecting what I saw in the photos, but I wasn’t impressed. The hall is an original warehouse which can be quite nice for certain events. I did not like the dark lighting in the hall or restroom. One wall had a glass garage door which created backlight issues when taking photos that direction. Large dance floor. Outside patio was used for appetizers. Parking along the building was very convenient.
I photographed a wedding at The Eastern this past summer. It's such a great space. I love the light and industrial look, plus it's ideally located for pictures around Eastern Market and the rest of Detroit. The staff also take great care of their clients. @JackHoylephoto
My brother and new sister in law held their wedding reception here, and it was beautiful. Definitely not your typical event space.
Seems like a pretty nice joint that is trying it's best to help change the public image of Detroit. Attended a very lovely wedding reception here. If you're looking for a trendy, modern industrial venue to host your medium to large event in Detroit, this is the place.
