I’ve never had a horrible experience here, always found what I needed. Store can be cleaner and more organized…but damn, this Home Depot is probably why all Detroit homes rotting. The wood selection here is garbage Noticed while happily walking down the lumber isle
I had a great experience when I was looking for a gas valve and a brushing to hook up a new stove. I asked a clerk for assistance in locating the parts I needed. The gentleman walked me over to where The parts were located on the shelf. He located the bushing I needed. The gas valve unfortunately was out of stock. He was able to take one out of a package that was damaged (full gas hose assembly) and gave me the gas valve I needed. I later found out he was the store manager. I also witness him helping another customer and going over and above what his job was required by asking the customer to bring in whatever they were working on, and he would take care of it once they bought it to the store. This type of customer service is very rare and he saved me a lot of valuable time not having to go to another Home Depot store.
Wow today I had a pretty big project, and my husband wasn't available. I went to the Home Depot and I asked if I could get some help with picking up what I wanted. To my surprise, the most amazing employee helped me today. His name is Dion B and he works in the garden department at Home Depot. He was kind, considerate, helpful and generous and he had an attitude of positivity. He helped me picked out everything I needed. He make sure I picked up the best quality items and loaded the cart and my car. Also, the cashier was amazing her name is Terri. My store experience today was above and beyond my expectations. Thank You Home Depot for having great employees.
Good service same usual Home Depot full of good stuff
Walked in to the hardware section and was immediately greeted by a woman named Toni. She instantly stopped talking to her colleague, stepping away to help me without me having to say a word. She was extremely helpful, friendly and went out of her way to even check in another section for an item I was looking for and went as far as to refer me to the site to see the full scope of options. It’s these kinds of interactions that make me want to come back again.
Good store. Efficient staff and all of your typical stuff. There is a dog stand out front for a quick bite. I was in and out in 10 minutes.
I want to like this Home Depot, I live in Detroit and want to support places within city limits. But there’s clearly some kind of management or training problem here. I walked in yesterday looking for an item that showed as "10 in stock" online but to "see associate" for location. The employee I spoke with insisted that it absolutely didn’t exist in store without even looking it up. When I showed her on my phone she insisted it was an online-only item and I should do a pick up order. Fair enough! I did, and it was "ready" an hour later, I guess maybe it did exist after all. I returned to the store that evening only to learn that their "system was down" and there was no way to pick up online orders. Back home again - this morning i tried calling twice to confirm if the system was back up before driving across town. Both times it rang for several minutes and hung up with no answer. Drove back again for a 3rd time, system still down, no ETA! I cancelled the order and went to the Madison Heights location. Despite also showing as "see associate" they were able to search for and locate the item for me in a couple of minutes, quick in and out trip.
