Lynn was great! Wonderful selection comparative to the region I’m from at-least. They're relocating soon, looking forward to the new locations layout and hoping the selection grows too.

Matt at the Eugene REI in the bike service department is simply spectacular. Not a single other bike shop in Eugene could service the internal hub on my Linus bike, but Matt figured it out. He researched and troubleshot the problem with the hub for days, then decided to purchase another hub and replace the parts in my hub with the new components from the replacement. Afterwards, it ran better than when I first purchased the bike. Simply wonderful customer service. I won’t take my bike to any other local shop now. Only REI, and I’ll always request Matt. Thank you, sir! It meant so much to finally have my bike back and running. Simply a life changer.

Remember when this was a gear store? It's now a fashion and trendy gadget store. Would I go here to prep for an adventure? No. No, I would not. They would not have anything that I couldn't find a better version of for less money. Also... no underwear. Seriously? High-quality tech undies are a must for trekking. Their employees aren't adventurers anymore... they are retailers. Their gear knowledge is limited to REI carried brands. I would prefer that heaps of "camp games" and overpriced stale energy bars went away, and I would look at climbing protection, navigation aids, and entry-level garbage paddles... but hey... that's just me. They remain a great place to buy "stupid but nice" stuff like high-end "ultralite" camp chairs... stuff that I'd never get for myself, but it feels good to give to friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Huge shoutout to the REI team in Eugene for going above and beyond! After my Thule roof rack keys were stolen, Luca and Katie teamed up to help me out—trying what looked like hundreds of keys to find one that worked with my locks. I left them to the challenge while I shopped, and to my amazement, they cracked the code! Not only did they find a working key, but they also removed the old locks and installed new ones—all with great attitudes and no sign of frustration, despite how long it took. They made me feel like helping me was a priority, not a hassle. I also want to thank the manager in the bike department who played a big role in all of this—I’m just bummed I didn’t get his name. Incredible service, amazing effort, and genuinely kind people. Thank you REI Eugene team!

We really liked this R.E.I. My wife needed a rain coat for the Oregon weather we got ourselves into. They had an amazing selection of top quality jackets. A lot were serious $$$ but they had a bunch of brands that were in our price range. They were really nice jackets double and triple layered. Unfortunately they didn't have the color she wanted but they did a great job of recommending a variety of types and styles. The customer service is fantastic at this store. Other than the clothing they had a great selection of whatever you could need for camping, off-roading, kayaking, etc. It makes sense why they do so well in Oregon!

It’s so frustrating to shop at this store because they have so little inventory compared to what they have online and compared to what they have at other stores in Salem and Portland metro. It’s almost as if the store is the sibling that just gets hand-me-downs. You’ll probably find what you need if it’s mainstream Patagonia but so much of what they have online is not available in the store.

I usually love REI and their selection but this is one of the worst locations I’ve been to as far as selection of in store items goes. Not sure what the deal is here, but do better.
