These folks are top notch! I selected based on: a) responsiveness to my outreach for a bid on the job b) clear & thorough communication, willing to work via text rather than phone calls (I really didn't want to have the same conversation with 5 different places in getting estimates). c) able to schedule us in quickly - same week! d) the estimate itself e) reviews from the past year What I got: - work done OH SO MUCH BETTER than I ever could have, & I wouldn't have saved anything in doing myself - professional, respectful & friendly installers - a crawl/storage space that is clean and no insulation getting in my hair when I move stuff around I wish we'd done this 20 years ago!

I have multiple homes and the crawlspace in one of my houses flooded after heavy rain last October 2023. That was the first time I worked with Lake Atitlan Insulation. In my search for a contractor, Lake Atitlan stood out of the 5 companies I called because of the owner, Walter. He was involved in the whole process, from the sale to the project itself. He showed up on of the first day to ensure the guys had what they needed and to brief them of the plan for the work. Prior to the project I had requested a protective barrier installed in the house because it my tenant has asthma. The guys showed up at 8am as scheduled, placed a protective barrier for the floor and walls from front door to the room where the crawlspace entrance was located. And after completing the work, they thoroughly cleaned up and made sure every thing was put back the way we had it. That is the level of detail and consideration that every company should instill in their workers. For transparency, we were provided photos of everything that was on the line items for the project, from the sump pump, the rodent exclusion, air seal, vapor barrier as well as the insulation install. And after the work, a quality control representative came to inspect the work. I was so impressed with Walter and his company, Lake Atitlan, that I hired them again for my other two houses. All in all my experience with Lake Atitlan was a 10 Star but I’ll settle for 5 for now. This work was done at my residence as part of a remodel, but professionally I manage new large construction developments and I would unequivocally recommend Lake Atitlan Insulation for either based on their clear understanding of how to air seal and insulate a project.

The crews arrived bright and early and got right to work. WOW! They were so professional, polite and the resulting work was WAY above expectations. Immaculate clean-up as well. We never would have known they were there - they were that good. In a time where sloppy jobs are commonplace, Lake Atitlan Insulation is a 10 star! Communication was clear from the very start and no surprises at the finish.

I needed some serious crawl space remediation and insulation. The whole crawl space was a mess, signs of rodents, and water in the supply ducts. The space was also very tight. They came in and cleaned, replaced, and sealed everything. They also replaced the duct system. I don't know how many people were on the job but I was shocked to find how efficient and skilled they were. They did it all in one day and all for a great price (I had gotten many quotes and they beat all of them). They took so many before and after pics. It was helpful to see it all. It really felt like they go above and beyond. They returned twice after the job to make sure there were no leaks and everything was secure. I do have to give a special shout out to Maricela. She's the one who communicates everything. She and I spoke many times by phone. I was a bit anxious about the job as the house was in the process of being sold and the crawl space issue was part of the contingency contract from the prospective buyer. She was so great in every way. Friendly, professional, patient, and willing to go above and beyond to provide customer satisfaction.
