Amazing Team and staff, helped me over 20 years! After 20 years living in Fort Collins, I'm moving out and sad to be with another utilities company! Yes, the utilities (along with everything else in Fort Collins) have become more and more expensive. However the team there has always helped. During COVID and even after COVID, they stayed on the line for longer than expected and helped me find resources to help me pay my bill when I had lost my income. They have given extensions and been kind, and I'm not talking about one or two people on staff, the entire staff! I wish I had written every name, but most recently, Justin Rios, with helping me end my service as I move to a new city and terminate my account, was understanding, and very helpful. I'm very grateful for everyone who has helped me over 20 years.
The utility automated system does not give you enough time to enter the long account number they provided, the recording states while entering long extended number to call back when you have it, and then good bye and hangs up....so ridiculous, this is an easy fix but their IT Dept will not code to extend, that's good old Fort Collins for you! 🙁
DO NOT ENROLL IN AUTOPAY. Fort Collins Utilities does not have a transaction-locking system. Autopay does not recognize manual payments made but requires more than a billing cycle to take effect. You will be double charged for at least one bill. The operator told me, word for word "most people like to leave it as a credit on their account." Oh, and it will take 10 business days to refund.
They will go after owners for unpaid tenant utilities but won't provide the statement. How does that make any sense?
