This utility has subpar software that affects its customers. We recently moved within the city and were unable to transfer over the bill pay, even though we were told it would automatically change from the old address account to the new account. I asked for email statements and not paper statements, however, I received neither. When I called to ask about a bill for the old address and the fact I was double charged, I was met with a very rude response from the customer service agent, as though it was my fault! He said it would be refunded which it was, however, he missed the whole point that twice as much was taken out of my account. When again I did not receive my bill, I called again and was told I set up a one time auto payment instead of a payment every month. Just not a great billing system and horrible IT department.

We had outstanding service from Fort Collins Utilities! We had a electrical issue at our residence, and their team was an absolute lifesaver. The electricians arrived promptly, assessed the problem, and wasted no time in getting to work. They not only identified the issue swiftly but also explained it to us in a clear and understandable manner. They did everything they said they were going to do - which I feel is hard to find nowadays. They arrived on time, offered solutions, and repaired the problem so quickly. Their dedication to ensuring our safety and satisfaction was evident in every action they took. We feel safe in our home again. We couldn't be happier with their service! Thank you to the entire team at City of Fort Collins Utilities. We are lucky to have you!

The state auditor's office should investigate their payment processing department. This is the ONLY merchant that seems incapable of timely processing electronic payments from my bank. (I pay the INSTANT they bill me via e-mail and then see a 'past due' amount on next month's bill.) Add to that that in order to set up "auto" payments you have to give them access to your bank account. (You can only pay via credit card on an individual basis.) I'd set up auto payments if I could do it through a credit card, but anyone who'd give this utility's dysfunctional billing department access to their bank account needs a shrink.

Keep track of your payments to this company. They have missed payments, they are not there to answer the phone so you leave a voice mail and wait. They want you to use their site,email and still not there to help. They just want money, and no work.

Called to report a building whose sprinklers have been running 24/7 for 6-8 days straight. What did they tell me?Water: "Oh you PROBABLY want to report that to city services" Me:"ok, what’s their phone number?" Water: "I don’t know."Are you seriously telling me that you don’t have the time to deal with this? We’re talking 10s of thousands of gallons of leaking water. Lazy

Terrible service!!!! Very rude and unhelpful staff. I'd definitely suggest going anywhere but here. I paid all my bills on time and when I moved I was double charged plus some. I had to call and try to get it fixed. When I called they just argued with me even though I had all the proof in bank transactions and billing statements. They were not interested in any of my proof I laid out before them. When finally talking to the "manager" she proved to be incompetent in her job. She was unable to provide me with a legitimate reason for the huge descrepancy in my bill.

Most of our power went out at 10pm on a Friday night. One call to Utilities, and 20 minutes later two trucks are here to identify the problem. Within 10 minutes, they've fixed things up enough to get us through the night, and arranged to completely fix problem the next day. Be happy that you're paying the taxes you do, because we get great value for that money. Thanks, Utilities!
