Customer Reviews
Interstate All Battery Center has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on over 203 reviews on Google
My husband called ahead to ask a few questions and was able to tell me exactly who to ask for and what battery to get in my car. Zach was attentive, quick to finish up with other customers before me, and replaced my car battery in under 20 minutes. Excellent service and technicians!
I never write reviews, especially not negative ones, but I had such a shocking experience here that I can’t leave it. On a Thursday, my 2019 Jeep flagged a low battery issue preventing the stop/start system from working. I went here because I’ve always had excellent and easy service. I explained, and also said that when I bought this vehicle two months ago, the battery was flagged as having insufficient CCA for the vehicle. Now that it’s getting cold, it needed replaced. He came out to test the battery, although I said it just needed a new one. The battery has a felt cover, and I suggested that we take that covering off so that he could look at the actual battery (CCA is not something read off the meter). He refused, and put a random CCA in. He then told me it was fine, and that I just "wasn’t driving it enough." I said that no, that wasn’t possibly the issue, and was told to "have your Dad, or Brother, or Boyfriend put it on their charger." At this point I decided this transaction was over - I’m a young woman, but I’m a young woman who not only owns her own charger but has grown up working on and around both light and heavy machinery. Even if not, this wasn’t acceptable. I said I’d charge it and left. It was clear he wasn’t interested in helping me with my request, and I left with the same problem and a bad taste in my mouth. I decided to figure it out for myself. I charged it (using my charger!) and removed the battery (using my tools!) which he’d refused to do when I asked. I immediately recognized that the battery was not rated for this vehicle, one with complicated electronic systems and a start/stop system. Further research yielded me confirmation from the company. At this point I was even more aggravated, and decided to go back Monday to get a new battery and never return. I planned to speak to a manager, as I didn’t want to leave a scathing review if possible. Instead, the same employee served me. He recognized me and asked "did it finally die?" I said that I did the work myself that he didn’t bother to, and that it wasn’t even compatible. He didn’t apologize or acknowledge that he did anything wrong, and pulled up three options which he listed to me as adjectives: good, best, gold. I had to press him to actually tell me the difference. He couldn’t tell me the warranty on them, so I had to go find the sign that gave any details. Then, I thought we would be done with this experience. Wrong. We go to my car and I have to show him which wrench to use. I then had to stop him from disconnecting the positive terminal first, leaving the battery dangerous and hot. It took probably five minutes for him to finally get the battery out, including several tries in which he was tightening instead of loosening a bolt, which I had to point out. When he put the new battery in, I had to again stop him from connecting the negative first, and then had to explain to him why that was bad. Extra ironic given that he’d told me to ask my Dad to charge a battery. Finally, after the god-granted good fortune not to electrocute himself, along with me explaining how to use basic tools and install a battery (odd, given where he works) I was informed that "I don’t know how to do this, I’m just the front desk guy." Then WHY would you feel qualified to advise me on what’s wrong with the battery (incorrectly), condescend to me on how to fix it, and then decide that he should be the one to do the battery swap? I could have done it both faster and safer, but given that I’d already had to do everything else myself, it felt like the bare minimum to expect. I’ve always had a good experience with this shop - kind and knowledgeable employees, good batteries, easy interactions. This whole experience has put me off ever returning. I’d rather pay a bit more at a shop who listens, is competent, and doesn’t tell me to go ask my Dad just because I’m a young woman, all the while not even knowing how to use a wrench. Teach your guys better, and keep this one behind the desk.
What an EXCELLENT experience!! I needed to replace the deep cycle batteries in my RV, and I called Interstate. I spoke to someone, and they helped me understand my options for battery choice. I arrived 30 minutes before they closed and a gentleman named Michael came out to replace the batteries. Even though the battery carrier wouldn't come out, they had the job done in 20 min, and we're very friendly and professional. I later found out the person I talked to on the phone was Michael, and he IS THE OWNER!! Wow, what a great environment that the owner will come out and get into a difficult situation. I'm really impressed and plan to have Interstate All Battery handle all my battery needs from now on!!! Thank you guys so much!
This place is the best! I’ve always had great experiences here and affordability for keeping my vehicles on the running strong thanks Chris and team
I swear by interstate batteries! The best out there by a long shot. I'm older and disabled...the person who helped me there went out of his way to help me and I give the service I received 5 stars as well
Unbelievable. I broke down and made it to their store. They handed me the tools and some loaner parts to get my car to my mechanic. They had me in a tight spot and never tried to make a sale or cash in. They just said bring them back when you can. They've earned all of my business as long as they are here. This is a rare level of customer service these days.
I usually just buy their blemish batteries and even had to have one replaced for free because it was faulty when I bought the original. They also do installation which is nice
