Living at The Outpost Fort Collins has been an absolute dream. From the moment I moved in, I felt welcomed by a community that’s both vibrant and laid-back—exactly the kind of energy Fort Collins is known for. The staff are friendly, responsive, and genuinely care about residents. Maintenance requests? Handled quickly and professionally every time. The amenities are top-tier: the gym is spotless and well-equipped, the clubhouse is perfect for studying or hanging out, and the pool area feels like a mini resort. My apartment is spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed—tons of natural light, great appliances, and a layout that actually makes sense. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Close to campus, trails, and all the best local spots. Whether you’re a student, young professional, or just someone who loves a good vibe, The Outpost delivers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that feels like home but lives like a lifestyle. ✨
The outpost is one of the worst places to live. Even though they respond to negative comments disagreeing ANY student who has lived at the outpost or knows someone who has can tell you a horror story. Despite the lack of safety and constant police surveillance because of this the theft is unbelievable. Packages are constantly stolen with no way of tracing them. The outpost communicates this is ‘untrue’ but speak to anyone who lives there on a main road and they will tell you differently. What they do not communicate is across from conifer street is a homeless shelter and across from the other main roads are heavy construction. If you don’t have loud noises early in the morning you will have unwanted encounters late in the evening. Highly suggest purchasing pepper spray and extra theft protections for vehicles. It is quite common for vehicles to be broken into and confrontations to occur. Focusing on the living, one of the worst construction jobs. In the winter we ran space heater 24/7 on pipes and were often without water for multiple hours a morning. The outpost did nothing but give us more space heaters and then charge us for them at the end of the lease. Further our electricity bill was astronomical due to all the space heaters and heat running to prevent pipes from bursting. The pool and hot tub are nice but at the end of the year the hot tub turns green. Also a lot of facilities are closed quite frequently. For students safety, do not live on these properties.
I lived here for two years and it’s a great place for a student with a dog, that’s about the only nice thing I can say. The units are built poorly with no insulation resulting in the heat and a/c breaking every few months. Maintenance was kind, but our unit had many issues. A vendor connected to my hose picket while I was at work and flooded the downstairs of my apartment which I was not notified about. My property was ruined and despite me asking I was not reimbursed or given the info to file a claim with the renters insurance I paid for through them. On top of that they did not complete proper flood remediation and only brought in a fan after I asked. I was also billed for things twice multiple times throughout my years here. If you are on the western side of the complex forget walking your dog or sitting on the porch as there are many characters who hang out, steal packages and yell etc. multiple of my neighbors had their cars broken into or stolen the summer of 2024. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing, expect to pay over your security deposit upon move out. The amenities look nice, but gym equipment, the printer, hot tub etc. is often broken. I would not recommend living here to anyone nor would I live here or at a coastal ridge property ever again.
the maintenance for the property and units are phenomenal. my roomates and i’s dishwasher wasn’t working since move in, and they came 3-4 times trying different things. finally we got it replaced. they have been so helpful and attentive to our needs!!! thank you trent and patrick (i think) for helping us!
I genuinely really loved living here! The office staff is so nice and helpful! The two bedroom cottages have an amazing kitchen with soo much space! The amenities are really good too! Overall great living experience and would recommend 🙂
I’ve been living here for about two months now and i love it! I love the friendly staff, gym, and study area! The shuttle is super easy and the bus drivers are always super kind, especially the older gentleman! I recommend living here if you like a quiet space and chill pace.
Absolutely love living here! I’ve been living at this apartment complex for a while now and honestly, it’s been one of the best renting experiences I’ve had. The staff is super friendly and always quick to help when I need anything. Maintenance requests are handled fast, which I really appreciate. The amenities are a huge plus—between the pool, gym, and walking trails, there’s always something to do. The whole property is clean and well-kept, and I feel safe and comfortable here. Also, shoutout to the community events—they really do a great job making it feel like home, not just a place to live. I didn’t expect to enjoy apartment life this much, but I’m really glad I ended up here. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place with a great vibe and helpful staff!
