If I could give 0 stars I would. My grandpa passed away and my dad paid his last water bill. Well it was actually a credit so the account is over paid. They won't give my dad his money back even though the card the payment was made with is in my dads name. How hard is it to confirm a credit card number and issue a refund? He's called multiple times and has spoken to multiple people. One person even said that if someone passes away and the account has a credit, that money just goes back into the water company's "fund". Quick to take a payment but refuse to refund an over payment. Very disappointed with the customer service.
I’m not even sure if I can give your public utility a single star for performance; the reason being that I can not even speak to anyone to make sure my bill has been paid. I’m supposed to be on auto pay but this month’s notice didn’t indicate what day it would be on. So I entered the pay portal and after entering my account it messaged me that I was about to make a duplicate payment. I wish you would at least mention the day you would withdraw my payment so I would know for sure that the bill has been paid. That would be the courteous way to do it.
The water department employees are so ignorant. They came to a vacant home of mine to shut off the water and the technician could not figure out how to do it. After about 30 minutes of watching him scratch his head, I couldn't take the dumfounded look on his face anymore and I had to inform him that no matter how hard he tried, the city cannot shut off "well water". LMFAO!!!! can you say Ds and Fs in high school.
City utilities is a joke, they keep hiking us up, customer service is pathetic, now there saying we could up again starting next year. The mayor and the city are pathetic, but you will spend around 250.000 to 300.000 for a Damn toilet downtown. You go thru money like it's water. And if that's not bad enough they keep raising property taxes on us. They don't give a Damn about us!
My bills keep magically going up $30-$70 every month. I don't have any excessive use and we had a professional come in and fix any water issues we had back in November, but somehow my Feb bill is $70+ then when we had water issues. These new meters were supposed to allow them to read easier and faster. Somehow they still haven't figured it out. Can't get through to anyone and can't see past bills without being paperless. Trying to figure out how to turn them in for price gouging to AG or whoever they have to report to because this is insane. My bills used to be $60. I now have a $160 bill.
Utterly useless. Replaced our meter three times in a brand new house because they couldn't get it right, then we get slapped with an enormous bill because the meter doesn't work but they completely trust the readings from the faulty meter. Every other month we get threatened with having our water shut off because of THEIR errors and mistakes. Every time we call the service is rude, combative and accusatory and fails to resolve the root issue. Everything they could get wrong, they do. If there were literally any other option, I would choose it- but there is not.
Received a $1200 bill because THEIR meter wasn't working and they failed to notify me for 14 months. As if that's somehow my problem.
