They were estimating my water bill for 2 years. We had multiple contractors out in the past year and yet they won't tell me why. When I called to ask what the deal is, they were rude and cold to me. Customer service sucks and their business practices are sketchy.

It's actually not people who don't pay their bill and get on here and complain. I don't even live in Fort Wayne, I'm a contractor who works in Fort Wayne and I can confirm their customer service next to horrible and their sense of urgency is none. No wonder you have 1.7 star rating. Do better Fort Wayne.

I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people who just don't want to pay their bill, or can't seem to comply with the simple paperwork to get their water started, stopped, or moved. If you ever go in person to the office, it's the customers who are being obtuse. Our city water is pretty good, be nice if people stopped being lazy and dumping crap in the storm drains though. However their "convenience fee" just keeps going up... It's almost an extra $40 a year now ($3.29 tacked onto your bill, every month when you pay) just to pay online... You pay to pay your bill.... Sound like fun? I got rid of paperless billing for ALL services who charge me a fee. I would suggest everyone go back to paper bills and mailed checks (even a money order is cheaper than the convenience fee)... See if they like the "convenience" of cashing a quarter million personal checks every single month.

Turned off my water service without any warning. I guess I was a month behind.(totally forgot)There was no notice posted on my door about the water being shut off. Called the company and had to pay a turn on fee. The customer service rep said "we tried to call you". Funny how the call doesn't show up on my logs and my phone number is the one posted to my account. I think they purposely do that in order to get people to pay the installation fee. Thanks for the warning now I get to go up to eight hours without running water.

Was told that they wasn't reading my meter properly for the last 20 months and so now I'm stuck paying a 853$ bill or they will shut my water off. Even though I was told it wasn't my fault that sometimes those electric meters just mess up.

Fort Wayne City Utilities has now informed me TWICE I never made a payment in October and in fact "if I paid my bills this wouldn't happen to me." ....... We were then just told that they POSTED MY PAYMENT TO MY NEIGHBORS ACCOUNT...... then informed me the payment has been made and will NOT be changed.... My girlfriend and I now owe $215.00 to have our water turned on! !!!!!This payment was made on THEIR WEBSITE UNDER MY ACCOUNT!!!!! Oh, their office is also closed to the public with no reopen date.... Landlords Informed & neither of us know what to do....

This place is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only, did I get charged over $800 in one month, which is equivalent to 78,000 gallons. I was told this could be from a toilet leaking. A leaky toilet could use 200 gallons a day 6,000 a month, not even close but ok. Also this "leaky toilet" miraculously fixed itself. I then set up a payment installations for this fictitious toilet. I paid over the agreed upon amount and was then sent a disconnection notice. (I received it within 5 days of the disconnect.) anyway, I was told the reason I received the notice was because I paid MORE than the agreed upon amount which kicked me off the terms. First and foremost, I was not told that if I paid more this would happen as well as why in the hell would it. I am beyond tired of this, as they know there is no where else I can go for water/sewer.
