Please update your hours on Google maps. Just wasted a trip there. Says you are open till 8, but the store is closed at 7. Update... owner said they are open till 8, but the store hours on the building and the store hours posted on Google maps both call out 7pm as close. Probably should update their hours to reflect the real hours.

I never used to use the hardware store so much but then Brian took over. Ever since I seen there was a new manager, he has bent over backwards to help Heidelberg materials. He even stocks things they don't usually have to help us out in case of emergencies. We have had an emergency and Brian was more than happy to open the doors after hours to help us. All of the associates treat me and the other customers like family , it is really appreciated. They are very helpful and kind.

Here's my story: I had went to Lowes to pick up a submersible pump to get some water out of my basement. Took it home, didn't work, so I stopped by Do It Best in Waynedale to ask them if they might know what the issue was. Not only did Larry take the time to troubleshoot everything with me, but I could tell that he was invested in the outcome and truly wanted to help. I've never had that experience at a big box hardware store. They earned my business moving forward from that 1 experience. I ended up taking the pump back to Lowes, and purchasing a new one from Larry at Do It Best, and guess what - it worked like a charm. Customer Service isn't dead, you just have to find the places with people who still care about their customers!

My Adjusting Table broke. A Fireman a came. We took the table apart, called the manufacturer who explained what we needed. Waynedale Hardware is 3 blocks away. We were not expecting them to have what we needed But they did and even took us to find all the materials. We didn’t have to buy boxes, just needed parts. Most were higher quality than the original manufacturer materials. This is not the first time they helped me. It won’t be the last time. I was a regular at Umbers and will be a regular here at this Hardware store also.

Waynedale is going to miss this business. They have been in the same location for at least 60 years. The staff has always been knowledgeable and very helpful as well as friendly. Stop in soon to enjoy some living history before they close the doors for good.

The building is nice inside. The people that work there are very helpful and friendly. If you need anything quick and fast I suggest you stop here, decent prices too.
