Customer Reviews
The Home Depot has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 based on over 3993 reviews on Google
I had hurricane impact windows installed in my property in Hialeah. This store was assigned for the project. The process was a nightmare. The contract was signed sometime in March 2025. The installation was completed in August 2025. There were several delays of over a month each because they ordered the wrong glass type for a couple of windows. Other windows were ordered with the wrong dimensions. Every time something had to be reordered it would take at least 4 weeks to receive the correct window snd install it. A wrong size window screen also had to be replaced as well. After the installation was completed we noticed that air from inside the property was leaking outside through the several window drains. Today we saw that one of the bathroom windows is leaking water inside the property. The problems seem to be associated with this stores employees and the vendors they use. We also used the Home Depot for hurricane impact windows in a property in Cape Coral (a different store) and that installation went smooth.
On Monday, 09/01, around 2:00 PM, I went to return some pressure-treated wood that I had purchased just four days earlier. When I brought the items to the customer service desk, the lumber manager refused the return, claiming the wood was "dirty." This reasoning was confusing and unreasonable, pressure-treated wood is designed for outdoor and construction use, so naturally it may have some dust on it. The pieces were uncut, unused, and in the same condition as when I purchased them. As a Pro customer who spends a significant amount of money at Home Depot, I was extremely disappointed by the way this situation was handled. The lumber manager’s demeanor was dismissive and rude. He insisted that he would not process the return because he was "the manager and could do whatever he wants." When I suggested that he at least sort through the pieces and return the ones he deemed acceptable, he refused. Even the front-end staff appeared confused by his behavior and mentioned they did not know why "he was acting this way". At one point, the manager flat-out told me, "I do not want to speak with you," which I found highly unprofessional. Ultimately, I had to take the very same wood to a different Home Depot location, where they processed the return without any issues because, again, there was nothing wrong with it aside from a little dust. This experience left me frustrated, as the manager’s behavior was not only unhelpful but also dismissive of loyal customers. I hope Home Depot takes this feedback seriously, because customers like myself expect professionalism and respect, especially when we continue to invest in their business.
I visited this Home Depot on August 30 around 5 PM, and the customer service definitely gave me mixed feelings. My first interaction with a cashier named Rachel was disappointing she was rude, dismissive, and made no effort to help with the issue I was having. It felt like she just wanted to push me aside rather than assist which had me beyon frustrated as this is clearly your job. Thankfully, another cashier named Yoania stepped in and completely turned the experience around. She was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to listen and made sure I got the assistance I needed and refused to let me leave upset with the everything. If it weren’t for her, this would’ve definitely been a 1-star visit and just a overall bad review. She deserves recognition for her great customer service and attention to detail because its definitely something that goes a long way.
Lia went above and beyond to help me. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience seamless. Truly exceptional customer service—Home Depot is lucky to have her!
It's amazing how last week I came in after multiple times before. That day specifically there was an inspection. OMG ! Every two steps you will find a store attendant asking you if you needed help . I felt in paradise. Lets next week
