I can not believe how you are taking advantage of the people of Indiana. I can barely make it with the outrageous increase and since I've had two disconnect notices I get hit with a $1200 deposit after being a customer for 25 years. I have to say you absolutely suck to allow this to happen with people who work so hard. This company along with AES suck and don't give two crap about the people who pay their bills
Such a scam and I can’t believe this office exists on taxpayers money. I have 2 properties in IL and 1 in IN, Crown Point. My electric bill, not including gas went from $336 up to $711. I called NIPSCO and the answer was that the summer was hot, people using more electricity - what a joke. I called "consumer affairs" office to to file a complaint and they told me to call Indiana Utility Counselor. No answer to the phone calls. Left a VM. It’s been 3 days and no response. Who’s in charge of this organization and what level of corruption this is to increase Kw rate 16.7% from July to August with no explanation to the people paying these bills.
I have 3 homes, 1 in Indiana, 1 in Kentucky and 1 in Illinois. My latest electric bills for July 2025 - Kenergy in Kentucky... 19 cents a KWH, Wayne-White in Illinois... 31 cents a KWH, Centerpointe in Evansville... 46 CENTS a KWH!!!! I used 1267 KWH and the total bill was $580!!!! I used 2047 KWH in Kentucky an HOUR AWAY and my bill was $385. $200 less for almost 1,000 MORE KWH. IURC you all are evil and I hope karma comes on all of you one day!
I am a Centerpoint Customer and they are expenaive with horrible reliability. Centerpoint apparenrly employs the board of the IURC. We had the highest rates in the state and these clowns approved another rate hike. Shame on you.
Y'all are the reason CenterPoint has a monopoly in Evansville. It would literally cost me half of what I'm paying now if I just moved across state lines. Do you all just really want to run Indiana into the ground?
Water departments minimum amount they are allowed to charge monthly is 8$ less with zero usage than a house of 8 people with over 4,000 gallons in usage. Also Center point " gas only for me" bills in the same boat - 1 house zero usage and 1 appliance is around 35$ less a month than a house with 8 people and multiple gas appliances. Indiana is allowing its companies to take away basic human needs for profit . Shame on you and your inhumanity for the people who pay your salaries.
EVERY SINGLE COMMISSIONER NEEDS TO BE RUN OUT OF THIS STATE! WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO LET CENTERPOINT ENERGY DRAIN EVERY LAST PENNY FROM YOUR CITIZENS. We pay some of the highest rates in the nation and you continuously approve their rate hike requests year after year even though they make multi-billion dollar profits year over year. It really sounds like pockets are getting lined and kick backs are being slid under the table. Southern Indiana has had enough!
