Irving Storage Climate Control

Don’t store your stuff here. They will charge you late fees at different times each month, and put a red lock on your unit even when it’s paid. I’m sitting here with stuff unloaded and cannot access my unit even though it’s paid for. It’s ridiculous. There’s no customer service. Choose another storage place.

Very nice facility that is clean, modern, and new. The lobby is bright and spacious with customer seating, a coffee and water bar, and moving supplies available for purchase and or/rental. Uhaul offers mobile check out/in for rental trucks which made the process a breeze. There is plenty of parking space so maneuvering vehicles is no problem. Staff is friendly and helpful too!

I’m a property manager at another storage facility. Doing a competitive rate survey. Called and told Shaniqua that just need 2 things answered and she hung up on me and blocked my call. EXTREMELY rude!!!!

I returned a U-Haul over night and left my wallet inside. The next morning I had a Flight, I showed up right at opening and Jessica was so helpful!! I was able to get my wallet and make my fight. Thanks Jessica, amazing customer service!!!!

I rented a Cargo Van for a week, and returned it a day early. Excellent customer service. Four stars because the closest location with a standard pickup truck was in Grapevine. It was an inconvenience to park.

Cargo van had faulty tire pressure sensors and low washer fluid lights on. Took an extra hour to get my keys because office changed hours temporarily due to weather but didn't update website, thankfullyi was able to extend the time needed for my move. There was leftover trash from previous renter in the back. I didn't need it for much but this would've annoyed me alot more if it was a bigger move.

TLDR: We got locked behind the security gate at this location after we hooked up a trailer because they closed while we were back there and never gave us the code to get out and remained unreachable the entire time. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone for anything ever! We rented a 5’ x 9’ trailer from Uhaul through this location. The experience began with them calling us 30 minutes before our scheduled reservation to inform us they would be closing soon and to see if we were still planning to come. We arrived at 5:35 and our reservation was not even until 5:45. When we arrived the checkout process was fine and we drove around back behind a security fence to attach the trailer to our truck. It took about 30 minutes to attach the trailer to the truck. When we pulled up to the gate to leave at 6:07 we realized that the gate was closed and it needed an electronic key code to open. We were not given any such code upon rental. I called the office as they just closed at six and thought maybe somebody might still be there and after calling them six separate times no one answered the phone. I then went to the U-Haul main website and engaged in a live chat with someone. They gave me the number to call the scheduling department. This individual then called the manager of the location we were stuck at. After 20 minutes of no answer, the representative contacted her own supervisor. Her supervisor then also tried to contact the manager of the location and still could not get an answer. After this the supervisor began to call any employee that was registered to work at this location until someone would answer the phone to provide us with the exit code. While all of this is going on my boyfriend is trying to flag down a few people that are loading up a U-Haul at the other end at the self storage service. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a code either and were not even aware they needed one to get out. Not only were we locked in but so were they. After an hour we finally get a code to let us out of the gate. My next call was absolutely going to be with the police. It was 104° outside and we had to idle a pick up truck for over an hour. This was dangerous, unacceptable, and completely ridiculous. If I had the option to give negative stars I absolutely would. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone for anything ever!
