Key Food Fresh & Natural

This was my go to spot in the neighborhood before moving. The staff is very kind, the produce selection is very large, and I was always happy to find a deal in the dairy and frozen section. Check out the local farms that are represented in the meats section, I used to get chicken that was regeneratively farmed locally and it was the same price as Purdue. Highly recommend this spot. Groceries are expensive much like everything else in the world right now but Key Foods was always the best spot for organic and traditional groceries for over two years.

I have been coming to the Key Food at 574 Jersey Avenue, Jersey City, NJ for the last 8 years. And I still love it for a variety of reasons: well-stocked, clean, reasonably priced, organized, and an incredibly nice staff that includes manager Luis; Ash, Salma and Mohammed in Deli; Xiomara and Emely at cash registers; Enrique and Carlos in the produce department. This grocery store is always inviting and never ever low on stock. It is my go-to food shopping store in all of downtown Jersey City.

It’s fine for one or two items, but it’s way too expensive for your weekly shopping. The variety and selection is not great, but you can’t fit everything in a small store! I’ll still shop here when needed, but maybe they’ll open later at some point since people are always rushing in and out a few minute before close.

The macadamia nuts are $12, and I think that's too much. They're macadamia nuts and this is more than I pay for a meal. Could a macadamia nut pack be a meal? Not for most. However, I appreciate that this is near where I live. Also they have food that is more reasonably priced in some categories.

It’s so clean and so organized!! Staff are also so helpful and nice!
