I’ve lived at Windsor at Library House for a year now and have been very happy with my stay. Overall, it’s been a great experience—possibly one of the best apartment communities in the Paulus Hook area of Jersey City. The leasing office and maintenance team are excellent: always responsive and friendly. My experience with Samantha has been especially positive—from move-in to my recent lease renewal. She has been consistently professional, responsive, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all my questions, walked me through the details with patience, and ensured everything was handled promptly. I truly appreciate her support!

Lourdes is truly the heart and soul of the Windsor community. She made me feel welcome and supported. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are unmatched. Whether it was helping with the move-in process or simply checking in to make sure everything was going well or move-out process, Lourdes consistently went above and beyond. What sets her apart is how genuinely she cares about the residents. She remembers names, listens to concerns, and always follows through. It's rare to find a property manager who brings such a personal touch while maintaining such high standards. Thanks to Lourdes, living at Windsor has been an exceptional experience. She’s a true asset to the community, and I’m grateful for all she does

We moved into the Windsor at Liberty House approximately a week & a half ago. So far we have enjoyed our time here. While the Windsor isn’t the newest building, it makes up for that with space—the apartments are big. I wanted to give an especially big shout out to Patrick. Patrick did our leasing tour & helped us as we navigated moving in & beyond. Patrick was very professional, kind, helpful, & knowledgeable. He was extremely patient with our many questions. Thank you, Patrick! Worth noting: the Windsor is situated in the Paulus Hook area of Jersey City, which is absolutely beautiful—it has tree lined streets & is very walkable to good schools, many bars & restaurants, a wonderful Whole Foods, & the Jersey City waterfront with stunning views of Manhattan.

My wife and I lived at Windsor for a year, and had we had the option to stay in Jersey City, we would have extended our lease without hesitation. The Winsdor staff, both the leasing office and maintenance team are incredible. Lourdes, Sam, and Patrick from the leasing office made the move-in process seamless, were always available to answer questions promptly throughout our tenure on the property, and made the move-out process stress free. Hands down one of the best leasing teams I have dealt with. On top of great service from the leasing office, we also had an incredible maintenance team. Ray and Mike were always quick, efficient, and kind while taking care of maintenance requests. It's inevitable for maintenance issues to come up, but what makes the issue much more manageable is having a prompt, skilled team of maintenance techs! Windsor is a great property not only because of it's location and proximity to public transport, but primarily because the staff at Windsor is competent, empathetic, and efficient!

Every interaction with the staff is incredibly pleasant and helpful. Patrick from the leasing staff is always ready to help in any way and so friendly. He really makes an effort to go out of his way to make sure the residents are taken care of!! We love living here!

I lived here with my wife for two years and have mixed feelings about the experience. We ultimately moved out because of an unreasonable lease increase—our rent was raised by 25%. We tried to negotiate with the leasing office, but they refused to lower the price. Strangely, after we moved out, we saw the exact same apartment listed online at the original rent, which makes it seem like they simply didn’t want us to renew. Another frustrating issue was when the landlord tried to charge us for a burn mark inside the microwave. We had already noticed this mark when we moved in and even mentioned it to the agent, who acknowledged it at the time. Later, we found a photo taken five months into our lease that clearly shows the mark was already there. The landlord provided no evidence that the microwave was damage-free before our tenancy, yet still tried to hold us fully responsible. This felt unfair and unprofessional. On the positive side, the community and surroundings are beautiful. There are great cafés and restaurants nearby, along with direct access to the riverside, which was the main reason we chose to move in. The maintenance team is also excellent, quick to respond and effective in resolving issues. Unfortunately, there are more downsides. The appliances are quite old and show heavy signs of wear, with some even rusting. If you move in, I strongly recommend documenting everything with photos to avoid disputes later. The AC unit is poorly placed inside a closet in the second bedroom, separated only by a thin door, so it’s very noisy when running. The elevators are unreliable, frequently out of service and shaky even when operational, which often made rides unsettling. Security is also a concern: there’s no doorman, packages are often left unattended in the lobby or outside the entrance, and no one manages deliveries on weekends. I had three packages go missing during my stay, and management did nothing to help recover them.

I have rented in the NYC area for 10 years and have never experienced a worse property management team or company. Steer clear of Windsor Communities at any cost. Do not rent here if you have even one other option. The building management company at Windsor at Liberty house is unresponsive, impossible to reach, and deeply apathetic towards the people who live in the building. When there is an issue, they are not present, available, or helpful, regardless of the severity of the situation. For emergencies, they will route you to the maintenance team, the leasing office, or a call center. There is no direct email address or phone number to contact Windsor Communities or the management team for 100 Dudley Street. In the event you do make contact with them, they will not help, or assist you in addressing whatever issue may have arisen. The "management" provided by Windsor Communities is either (A) non-existent, or (B) actively harmful. A short list of issues we encountered in our 1 year tenure in this building: (1) the fire alarms are repeatedly faulty (usually going off late at night); (2) the parking garage in the south building does not reliably shut/lock, and is constantly breaking down, risking vehicle theft and damage; (3) several of the key elevators used by residents are regularly broken/out of use for maintenance; (4) there is no secure package system. Packages are routinely left outside the building, inside the front entrance, in the common area at the 100 Dudley entrance, or otherwise unsecured; (5) the management team has routinely completely disregarded communications regarding ordinary course payment disputes; (6) we were charged amenity fees for a gym that was largely unavailable; (7) we were also routine double-charged and erroneously charged for parking; and (8) even though we were only here for one year, we had multiple significant appliances break and need whole-sale replacing (fridge/freezer and dishwasher). To be clear: some of the apartments themselves are nice, and the building maintenance staff are fast and responsive for true maintenance issues. Even the leasing office personnel try to be helpful (though candidly, they are rarely ever physically present or available by phone). However, none of that even slightly compensates for the complete failures of Windsor Communities to properly manage this building and attend to the welfare of its residents. Do. Not. Rent. Here.
