DO NOT USE!!! They trespassed on my property and performed unauthorized work on my solar panels because they were at the wrong house!! I have never used this company and will never. My husband was on military deployment so our bills were all on autopay so now they are saying they can’t do anything because it’s been "too long." Because of their lack of knowledge, understanding, compassion, and regret, we had been paying hundreds of dollars a month in electricity because our panels were shut off. Company is an absolute disgrace.

VIG does not stand behind their work! VIG installed my Sun Power solar system in early 2024. Three of my 49 panels stopped communicating. VIG sent a crew to diagnose the problem. They were unable to find the issue. Office staff indicated that they could not figure out the issue because the install crew who installed the system left VIG. Left on my own, I hired an experienced technician from a competitor. He spent two and ½ days, and was able to find the issue and clean up the mess left by the VIG technicians. The install crew damaged a connector that provided power to the three panels in question. Because of the damage, it failed. Once replaced, the panels worked fine. This was an installation defect and VIG has refused to accept responsibility. The have simply ignored me, hoping I will just go away. The VIG crew left loose hardware on the roof and did not re-secure panels to the roof. Panels were missing mid-caps and end-caps that secure the panels to the roof. The apparently pulled panels, but did not bother to re-secure them to the roof racks before leaving. Luckily, none of the panels blew off my roof. Flying panels could be very dangerous. We also found bird guards pulled away, exposing my system to bird intrusions and rendering the money spent to place bird guards, worthless. We also found a significant number of roof tiles broken. VIG office staff did drop off mid-caps and end-caps so we could re-secure panels to the roof. When I asked VIG to cover my repair costs, the office staff said they would check with management and get back to me. They never responded and have since ignored numerous calls and a detailed letter with clear documentation. VIG does not stand behind their work!

I can't say enough good things about this company! They installed our solar panels and Generac generator faster than we ever expected, without cutting any corners. From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and really went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right. The solar panels are working flawlessly, and the Generac backup has given us peace of mind during power outages. Having an independent energy system has been a game-changer—we’re saving money, helping the environment, and don’t have to worry about the grid. Their customer service was top-notch, always responsive and helpful throughout the process. If you’re thinking about going solar, this is the company to trust!

This was by far the easiest solar company I have ever worked with. I have done solar on two of my properties and the representative Dylan Smith that I worked with not only made everything very easy and clear to understand, but informed me about an off system with back up power Instead of the traditional, regular solar system every other company offered me. I’m very excited to have gone with Dylan Smith and VIG Solar And chose their premier option with the solar panels batteries, as well as the generator!

As far as professionalism goes, Vig Solar and Electric is COMPLETE GARBAGE. I took the morning off work for no reason and cost myself half a day's pay because of this crap company. On Saturday Nov 30, I called to schedule a service call to have my Generac generator repaired on Wednesday Dec 4 at 8:30am. Got a confirmation of the service call and on the morning of the appointment by 8:50am nobody had arrived so I called and after putting me on hold was told that they needed to reschedule because the tech had to go to an emergency call. Did the office or the tech bother to call? Nope. Never bothered to call or text or email....just expected me to sit here and wonder I guess. Never again. There are plenty of your competitors I will happily engage with. Vig S&E deserves negative stars for this fail.
