Welp!!! I found another gem in this city that after passing by year after year; I never thought to stop by until today! Wow am I glad I did! I was greeted by Mr. Craig Owen, the son of Ken Owen who founded this little piece of North Texas History... After explaining my Sam Club and Auto Zone battery nightmare; he gave us inside info on the battery business and then it all made sense! He knew what a shim was and why I didn't need one and showed us how to properly affix the battery posts! Now when I tell you they are quick; we were in and out in 15 mins! His assistant Armondo did a zoop, zoop and a zeep zeep and we were dun- dun! Oh did I tell you the batteries they sell, Rocket are #1 in the Korean market? Well we know about Fast and Furious and Asian race cars so I'd rather have one of these batteries in my vehicle than the Everstart or AutoZone brand... Ijs, big Corp quit being greedy and do better!!! We the consumer are tired of being played in this battery game!!! Yal swing by and give him a try; plus he had high end and low end batteries with several warranty types to keep you rolling! Trust me, we won't be going back to the big chain stores for batteries! I can't say anything but good things I was 2 miles away and my car didn't want to start. I found Ken Owens Batterys on Google and decided to walk. 2 miles in jeans and black shirt in 95° weather. Plan: Buy the battery, and walk back to my car with the battery and change it myself. No biggie Without even thinking about, they offered me a ride back to my car, jumped start my car, I drove it back to the shop, they started replacing my battery, cleaned it for me. All without extra cost. I was shocked. Heaven sent for sure. My car couldn't have broken down in a better place. And I paid $200 less than other places were going to charge me ( I was looking to buy a new battery for a few weeks now)
