It’s nice to have a small hardware store in the neighborhood and they have most things a homeowner might need. However, terrible customer service and they do not stand behind their products. I purchased a nice metal birdbath for the wife on Mother’s Day. It’s 4 months later and the paint/enamel coating chipped off and is filled with rust. They told me they won’t do a thing since it’s over thirty days. Way to stand behind your products…

Great hometown hardware store with exceptional employees and management. True values willingness to go the extra mile for the customers making certain what you get is of quality and will get the job done. World needs more stores like this over the big box giants that care less about the consumer. Only recommendation is to update their key making machine or to order more types of blanks to allow for more options to be copied. Goes great next to batteries and bulbs next-door have always been super helpful as well. Two stop shop one location? Do you offer contractor accounts?

I appreciated the convenience of this store until a product I bought here failed and caused a $400 plumber's bill. I came back a week later with a receipt and the return was refused by a cashier who got very heated by questions about returns. I can understand if it's a store policy that she can't control, I'm disappointed by how much hostility she chooses to treat people with.

They do not stand behind their products. I tried to return something after ONE use and they would not take it back. They just lost a good customer who has been there many, many times. Don't bother. Go to Menards. Better prices and they stand behind what they sell.

I really like the folks at Glenns Tru Value. I purchase items there on a regular basis. However, today I went in to have 3 copies of the same key made. Apparently the employee at the counter didn't know how to make them so he called for help. The manager(?) who came to help him was very patient teaching him to make them, but after 20 minutes, I told them that I had to be somewhere. Maybe they didn't hear me. But after 25 minutes, I tried the keys on my vehicle and 2 worked (if I worked to find their sweet spot), but 1 didn't. So I had to go back in again. Instead of the manager doing this one quickly so I could be on my way, she had the same employee do it again. I was very patient - probably too patient, because it took 35 minutes for me to have the 3 keys made. Consequently, I was late for my twin girls' vocal concert. Here's a suggestion: train your employees on your time, not on your customers' time. Have them practice making keys on a manager's vehicle and don't use your customers like guinea pigs.

I have had screens replaced here twice. They are very friendly & are not overpriced. They get them back pretty quickly. I like the small town feel of the employees @ this store. Based on the bigger home improvement stores, TruValue is hands down,the BEST for customer service!
