I recently tried to return an unused item to AutoZone and had a very frustrating experience. Even though the product was still in its original packaging and I had my ID plus receipt, they refused to accept the item back even though it was a day old. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but the lack of flexibility—especially for loyal customers—is extremely disappointing

AutoZone has one of the worst return policies I’ve ever dealt with. Bought the wrong part, went back to swap it out, and they made it way harder than it needed to be. Tons of excuses, confusing rules, and zero effort to actually help. It felt like they’d rather keep my money than keep a customer. Definitely not shopping here again.

I was so happy to get decent help and a new battery at way cheaper than I was quoted elsewhere, George and Mike took excellent care of my truck and were honest and super helpful… lifetime customer !
