AVOID THIS SCAM. THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS. I was quoted $1900 to move 350 cubic feet (1BR apartment) 1800 miles, a very reasonable quote for the size of move. 2 days before the move, Green Planet called to tell me the quote had been updated, and the move would now be $3700, almost exactly double. At that point, what option did I have? Well, the guy who called me said I could just get a Uhaul if I wasn't happy with the new price. The only problem there is that the last-minute Uhaul rental was going to be even more. If I had not been lied to about the cost, the Uhaul would have been the better, faster, and less expensive option. Come the day of the move, they loaded the truck, a box truck (remember that for later), and informed me the cost was now $4300. They had all of my boxes and furniture, so it was extortion at that point, and I had no choice. On the day of delivery, the company claimed they couldn't deliver on a semi trailer, a story repeated here frequently, and there would be an additional charge of almost $700 to make the delivery on a box truck. They claim there is extra labor involved. The only problem there is that the driver told me the box truck was loaded directly from the storage facility and driven to the Midwest and then to the east coast, so there was NO extra labor. They moved the cubic footage and pounds of my stuff into a box truck and claimed it took more labor than moving the exact same cubic footage and pounds into a semi trailer. 100% a lie, that customer service rep Kristin was adamant about. The delivery window was given as 4-8 p.m. and the movers arrived at 6:15. With only 2 guys, it took them until 10:30 to finish, more than 4 hours. The driver then started making demands that I sign the paperwork that said everything had been delivered and it was all in "good condition" despite his acknowledging that several pieces were damaged and several boxes crushed. I noticed that the paperwork has a column for every box to be checked into the truck when loaded and another for every box being unloaded and delivered, but they had not done the latter. When I told the driver I wanted to use the list to make sure everything was delivered, he basically screamed at me and my wife that it was late (his fault) and he didnt have time for that, that I could do that later, you know, after I signed the paperwork saying everything had been delivered and was in good condition, something I couldn't verify but still had to sign. When I pointed that out, he said it didn't matter if I signed or not. He would just leave and not give me the paperwork. To top it all off, they damaged several pieces of furniture. THEY WRAPPED, PACKED, LOADED, AND UNLOADED ALL OF THE FURNITURE. The very least they could do would be to pad things enough to prevent damage. You'll notice in the pictures that their blankets either wore or tore through on the headboard of a $3000 bed, they snapped the lower support and broke the corner of an $800 coffee table, and somehow bent the back corner of the couch away from the frame. AGAIN, THEY WRAPPED AND LOADED THESE ITEMS ALL ON THEIR OWN. THEY ARE WHOLLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE AS THESE WERE NOT WRAPPED OR LOADED BY ME. In the end, they charged almost 240% the original estimate of $1900 and 350 cubic feet, but they didn't even move twice the cubic feet. Their own final number was less than 700 cubic feet, and the actual cubic footage I was charged for was 1.8 times the original estimate. The numbers just dont add up. Maybe the final nail in the coffin, but their "insurance" (noted to be a scam here in several other reviews) is based on the weight of the load, but there's not any indication on the paperwork about the weight, only the cubic footage. When I pointed that out to the driver, he got really angry that I wanted to know the weight of the shipped items. I assume that is, in part, how they avoid paying for any claims. This company is a scam, plain and simple.

almost every single one of these reviews are one star. it looks like they’d be zero stars if that was an option. my friend apparently didn’t read the reviews before hiring them. Similar to the other experiences, they are trying to charge her thousands more than what the contract is for. her stuff still has not shown up after almost a week. The company will not give her any answers and insist that she pay the extra charges and balance before they deliver her property. What a sad and pathetic way to do business. No, you will not find my name in your system, ever! I will advise my friend to report your company to the BBB.

This a been the worst nightmare move of my life. They lied from the beginning just to get you to use their poor shitty service. I asked a million questions asked about boxes and asked about a weight ticket. Once movers got there they had no boxes or an empty weight ticket, I needed one full also. Natalie and Alex assured me because they are going across state lines weight tickets are required. Delivered my items broken, gave me someone else’s shipment, missing items. Still no weight ticket. I am furious. Then they want to be secretive about the managers number. They stated whatever they disamble they reassemble. My furniture is sitting in assembled. I’m mad as hell.

If I could give a more negative review I would. After several weeks my new, well packed boxes arrived and looked like they had been left in the rain for days and then rolled, including those marked fragile. I filed a claim with photos for 89 broken items totaling over $1,000 in damage, including many sentimental items. Today I received a settlement from the so-called insurance company for $51. Do not use Green Planet Movers.

Buyer beware! I originally hired United Moving Company for my move. I was unaware that United farms out their business to third parties and so I ended up with Green Planet by default. Thus far, working with Green Planet has been a nightmare. I have evidence that the company has falsified billing and they are attempting to overcharge about twice the amount quoted by United Moving Company even though significantly fewer items were moved than the original estimate. At this time, all trust and confidence in Green Planet Moving has been broken

Please read the reviews before using this company, OR if you’re brokered thru this company please try and go a different route. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had using any kind of service. They lie lie lie! About cost, and more. We were first told our move would cost around 4-5 grand. Tomas and the crew got on site and immediately told us it would be more like 11,000, that was the first lie. Second lie, I had a freezer and it had some food in it, I was told to please take it out and place it in one of my coolers. I did so, right in front of the boss and his whole crew. I then asked if I needed to clear the ice build up off, they told me no it’d okay as well as my ice chest because we’d see our stuff in 3-4 days tops. Their own guys word!! Well 2 days into moving 1500 miles away from our stuff, thinking we were going to get it back when we were told we get a message that our stuff could take 7-14 days! Of course another lie. I mentioned my freezer and food, they then blamed it on me and went to get it, and then proceeded to blame me for "water damage" after we asked about the freezers Ice. Costing me a 750 extra dollars, now up to 11,750. We paid them the first half as directed right away no questions, and guess how long we waited for our stuff? The full 14 days, the literal last day to keep it within legal bounds, absolutely savage to do to people. We paid and got our stuff thankfully. We have a few broken tables, a couple other broken items but overall not to bad on that end, can’t make a claim because they swindle you into signing a bunch of stuff after your stuff is on the truck with a guy who doesn’t speak English and you end up signing some form of full coverage waiver. Just overall a TERRIBLE company. Terrible experience, and shouldn’t be legal, but it is of course! Just very unethical. DO NOT USE GREEN PLANET MOVERS!!! If you have any choice do not use this company if you value your belongings and peace. I will be contacting every free legal advice and BBB representative I can to have this place looked into so this doesn’t happen to you.
