The worst service, I looked at the host, just wanted to ask about the display screen, but the waiter at the service desk took a look and turned around. My daughter was unwilling to help when she asked, so she just stood there, unwilling to move. It's much worse than the bustbuy service attitude of Queens mall and Flushing. I was ready to buy it as my birthday gift today. As a result, because their attitude was very bad, I stopped buying it and planned to buy it elsewhere. Never come to this store. Both employees (Two young staff )in the store felt that they could be lazy with their salary.
I bought a Samsung TV expecting a good quality TV. This TV has a lot problems, one day it’s not excepting the remote control signal , the next day WiFi kept disconnecting. I am so disappointed. I spent a 600$ on a TV that didn’t last 8 months. I think they are selling a TV that has manufactured problems so they can get them on a good price and sell them as brand new. I went there trying to solve the problem they said they cannot do anything because it’s past two weeks so I connected Samsung. Samsung asked when was the TV purchased. I gave them the date and they told me that this TV was purchased 4 months ago from the date I purchased it so they sold me an open box TV as brand new. I am so annoyed because I went there three weeks after trying to fix it or exchange it and they told me you passed two weeks. However, I have 2 months on my receipt. I recommend anyone to avoid this place when buying a TV.
It is such a ghost town in here. Service used to be quick, but now you have to wait in line even to pick up things you already ordered and paid for online. Forget about trying to do a return. Just close the store if you are not interested in properly staffing it. What a miserable shopping experience.
Placed a pick up order for a brand new 65" Samsung TV and the TV came broken, when I went to return the next day they told me they couldn’t do anything about it because the serial number on the TV didn’t match the box. They sold me a broken, unmatched, and likely used TV that I paid nearly $400 for and the only option they gave me was to call the 1-800 number. Made absolutely no sense because it means they were gonna sell me a returned or used tv to begin with? Never had something happen like this in my life. I’ve never had to crash out on a service worker in my life but today was a first.
Review: This is hands down the worst Best Buy I’ve ever been to. I usually go to the Rego Park location, but the Lenovo Yoga 9i Copilot 2025 laptop was only available here in limited quantity, so I had no choice but to pick it up at this store. The cashier (an Asian lady) was incredibly pushy and made the whole experience miserable. I repeatedly said no to the insurance, yet she kept pressuring me, lecturing that because it’s a $2000 laptop with Copilot it would break, and trying to convince me with discounts and scare tactics. I don’t need someone telling me how I’m going to use my own laptop. Then, to top it off, when I asked for a bag, she said they didn’t have any. So here I am, a small woman, forced to carry a heavy laptop box through the street while she loudly announces the $2000 price tag for everyone to hear. Absolutely ridiculous and humiliating. No wonder the store was practically empty. Even another customer gave me a strange look during the whole exchange. This was by far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had at Best Buy, and I will never step foot in this location again.
I’m giving this Best Buy location one star only because zero stars isn’t an option. My experience with their Geek Squad employee, Chantz, was downright awful and frankly, unethical. I visited to have my iPhone battery replaced under Apple’s warranty, which clearly states that if the battery is below 80%, the replacement is free. Instead, Chantz (Geeksquad employee) insisted I had to pay $99, completely ignoring Apple’s warranty terms. When I showed him the Apple chat where I was chatting live with the representative to confirm that this should be absolutely free, he didn’t even care. Worse, he falsely told me that I’d be charged the same $99 at an Apple Store. That was a blatant lie. Spoiler: I went to Apple and was charged $0 dollars... and Apple reconfirmed that Geek Squad had absolutely no right to attempt to charge a $99 fee. This wasn’t just poor service — it was willful misinformation. Chantz was slow, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Either he didn’t know the policy (which is unacceptable), or he did and deliberately tried to overcharge me (which is worse). Neither should be tolerated. Avoid Geek Squad. And definitely avoid Chantz. If you value your time, money, or honesty, just go to the Apple Store, where the staff know what they’re doing and don’t try to scam you.
On Wednesday, August 6th, around 3:30 PM, I went to this Best Buy location in Long Island City, Queens during my break to purchase an Apple MacBook. An employee assisted me but was extremely pushy about selling me insurance. I politely declined, at which point his demeanor became aggressive. Shockingly, he then refused to sell me the MacBook and told me to "just buy it online." I told him I would report the incident to corporate, and he began yelling in the store, claiming I was "threatening" him. I have already filed a complaint with Best Buy corporate and have a case number. When I arrived, no one offered to help. I had to look for an employee myself. Later, Best Buy customer service confirmed to me that employees are not allowed to deny a sale simply because a customer refuses insurance. This experience was unprofessional, unacceptable, and a complete waste of time. Avoid this location at all costs.
