TAG Truck Center Memphis

I took my truck in Monday morning as soon as they opened I drop the truck off told them the problem that I was having which was an exhaust leak on the front part of the manifold on the DD 15 and I had a phantom coolant leak I suspected coming from the EGR cooler because there was no leak under the truck in the engine compartment under the dash no signs of dried coolant that have been sprayed and blown around. There was absolutely no sign of a leak. It wasn’t until Friday that they actually looked at my truck for a total of two hours charged me for six hours of diagnostic said they couldn’t find the leak and try to charge me $4000 to put on the exhaust manifold when I told them no I picked up my truck a week later and brought it to the house parked it. Let it sit for two hours to cool I went out. I cranked it up to turn the wheel to get into the engine compartment and shut it off. I walked back around to the engine compartment and right there where the exhaust manifold was leaking. It was also spraying out coolant, confirming that the EGR cooler is malfunctioning improperly put in or whatever, but that was covered under warranty so not only did they not find the leak by a trained technician supposedly but they also charged me for that when it should’ve all been covered under warranty and kept me from running for a week because they decided to take their sweet time about it it’s hard enough being an owner operator or a small fleet without having these repair shops gouges if I were you, I would not use tag Truck centers. Apparently Memphis is their corporate office so whatever you do definitely don’t bring it to Memphis but if it all possible, take it to any other freightliner you could find and steer clear of tag they’re just gonna rip you off take your money and not do anything that they’re supposed to do. Worst experience ever. I will never spend another penny at that place.

Came in due to the fifth wheel having been cut off of my truck. The team here was AMAZING. They were never impatient with me (even though I checked in every few hours for an update) and always gave me a full run down of progress since my last check in. They got the parts, did the work, were skilled and professional throughout. I recommend TAG for any freightliner issues you might have. I have been here a couple dozen times and it is the ONE place where I don't feel the need to remove everything of monetary value from my truck when I leave it in their care. If I could give more stars, I would.

TAG and Fernando came to our rescue. Well it happened, we drove across country from Ohio to California and were on our way back through Memphis when our Sprinter Van engine started to knock! After a stressful night trying to find a place to tow it, we found TAG. They were fantastic! Fernando got us in right away, so we could get back on the road to home. He was so knowledgeable about Sprinter Vans, along with his technician, we felt we were in good hands. After just a few hours wait, we were fixed and able to get back on the road to home. My wife and I bought a new 2025 MB sprinter van crew cab. I honestly hate dealing with two faced dealers but working with David was truly a hassle free experience. Every time I had questions or concerns David was quick to respond. I didn’t feel like it was some generic response, the guy actually goes the extra mile to give you all the information you need. We didn’t feel pressured into getting something we didn’t want. He was great at helping us to build and design the van to our exact specifications. He kept us updated throughout the whole process, was honest, and made the entire experience hassle and worry free! He truly is the full customer service package and would 100% recommend anyone wanting a sprinter van to work with David!

4.1 for who the body shop. They tried to get me to replace my whole radiator for $5000 when it was only the plug that was broken. Thanks to my warranty adjuster that was a former diesel mechanic noticed and made me aware. I can’t speak for other drivers just telling you what they did to me. The boss tried me calling me at that point I didn’t have anything to talk about. And that person that in the mechanic shop I heard he's still working there.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR TRUCK HERE! David Palmer and Terry Padell were both super helpful and very nice. They figured out what the problem was and had me in and out within the hour. I will only bring my truck here when I’m in this area.

This is probably the fastest dealership I've ever been to in my whole career. They got me in and out within a day. I had a bad air compressor that I had previously serviced at a loves. The new part was faulty and the loves refused to work on it any further. Needless to say the customer service was friendly, curious and chill. All I can say is that, if you come to this dealership. You can expect to be in and out as quickly as possible. They are on top of your issues and it seems like they take your time into consideration..I am very highly satisfied:)
